Our friend, John Gray, international chef, and owner of John Gray’s Kitchen in Puerto Morelos has shared his personal Margarita recipe to get you in the vacation mood! It’s our favorite margarita recipe and easy to make.
Classic Lime Margarita
- 1 shot of fresh lime juice (approx 2 fresh limes)
- 1 shot of Reposado Tequila
- 1/2 shot Cointreau
- 1/2 shot of simple syrup or agave nectar
Put all ingredients in a shaker or blender. Mix. Test the margarita for sweetness and add more simple syrup or agave nectar to taste. Salt the rim of the glasses with coarse sea salt or a mix of sea salt and chili powder. Pour into glasses.
