A Taste of Tulum with Margo Guenther

Today’s guest, Margo Guenther, is a long-time resident of Tulum. When Margo moved to Tulum there were only about 3,000 people. Today the town is estimated to have 30-40K people and is still growing. Margo is a fan of both the established staple restaurants and the newer progressive eateries.

Margo’s Favorite Traditional Places:

Margo’s advice has been featured in popular publications and her list is a must-do for New Yorkers visiting the area.

Margo’s Favorite New Eatery:

  • Primitivo — Located behind the Agua Viva hotel which features an unrivaled bamboo building technique and sweat lodge, Primitivo offers two distinctly different menus. One is from Raw Love, a raw vegan local restaurant and Primitivo’s own menu which includes rib eye tacos on handmade tortillas.
  • Juanita Diavola in Coco’s — Fresh pizza and homemade pasta on the beach road.
