Every Wednesday in Akumal, local farmers bring their fresh fruits and vegetables to sell in the open-air plaza in the center of town. A practice of the sustainable traveler is to buy local and support the indigenous community.  We encourage you to shop at this traditional Mexican market and enjoy delicious produce for a great price!
