Puerto Aventuras is like no other community in the Riviera Maya. The beach is smaller, but the community has a big heart and a marina. It is the port of call for personal yachts, large recreational fishing boats (the luxury kind) and a vibrant expat community that has a unique focus on the sea.
Latitude 20 – Mexican and American food, with Sunday football and a lively bar all mixed into one. Their daily specials are popular, and they have a great happy hour.
Cafe Ole Restaurant – This is a bit of an institution in Puerto Aventuras, so check it out. They are known for their food and live music.
Jessie’s Gelato – This is a great stroll at night. Walk through Puerto Aventuras and get some home made ice cream. Jessie’s is a great gig in town, so check it out.
There are great activities in Puerto Aventuras and they all focus around the sea. Fish, dive or go out on one of the many catamaran tours. For history buffs, the CEA Marine Museum is a must.
Dive Centers, Fishing boats, and catamaran tours can be accessed whether you are staying in Puerto Aventuras or not. Check out our Loco Gringo Directory to help you plan your Puerto Aventuras activities.
These are your essentials but there is so much more to this Marina community.
