Each year the KKIS, Keeping Kids in School, Project gives people an opportunity to help change the lives of children in Playa del Carmen. KKIS provides school supplies to students in underprivileged neighborhoods, scholarships and mentors to talented but economically disadvantaged high school students, volunteers to help students learn English and more.
From February 11 to 25 there is an online auction, raffle tickets all culminating with a local event March 1 at La Vagabunda Fiesta. The evening at La Vagabunda will be a night of music, food, and fun. Tickets are available online.
2018 goal is to give school supplies to 3,000 and give 50 high school scholarships. To achieve that goal, they need to raise $40,000 in the auction.
Can’t be there for the March 1 event? You can buy raffle tickets which include a trip to Las Vegas.
