iPods, ipads, hand-held gaming devices, etc. are invaluable for keeping kids occupied while on the plane or waiting around in airports, but be sure to make a deal with your kids before hand to turn off and put away these devices when your family reaches their destination. Family vacations are for reconnecting with each other and discovering together the vacation destination you have chosen.
