The famous market Kava Kasa is organized in Playa del Carmen. Tons of bakery goods made by The Grumpy Bakers. Unique handmade pieces of clothes decorate the stands. Jams and jelly made from scratch and with fresh ingredients. It is by far one of the best markets in Riviera Maya. Located on 22nd street, between 5th and 10th Avenue. Although this is not a fixed Market, it is the closest thing to a Farmer´s market in Akumal area. The vendor who is a man, carries a wooden cart with all the fresh fruits and vegetables among other food products. He located the market near the main park or plaza in Akumal Pueblo, the opposite to the beach side. This market is available every Wednesday and Saturday from 8:00am until around 3:00pm.
Art classes and conversational Mayan language are some of the highlights of this special Market. The market alternates Cancun and Playa del Carmen; La Salvia Events Salon and Parque La Ceiba respectively host the Vegan Market every few months.
