The archaeological site of Uxmal is now handicap friendly. The National Institute of Anthropology and History has been developing a program to make the Yucatan’s historical buildings and archaeological sites accessible for people with disabilities. Ramps have been added to the ruin site and walkways have been modified to accommodate wheelchairs. We are excited to see these changes being made to make travel in the Yucatan easier for everyone.
