As an heirloom culture, the Maya are a very traditional people, rarely changing the way they do things and in some small villages the way they dress. Some of the items of clothing in this museum exhibit are still in fashion today. The beautiful embroidered dresses and the straw sombreros are still perfect wear for the hot, sunny Mexican days.
