It is not a coincidence that this beautiful condominium complex is called “La Sirena” or “Mermaid” in English.
Here you will find everything the Queen of the Sea would want in her accommodation – including a soft, sun-kissed beach, a gorgeous Half Moon Bay reef with tropical fish and gracious sea turtles, a large turquoise swimming pool, impeccable service and airy rooms.
La Sirena is a set of elegant luxury condos along the beach on the north rim of Half Moon Bay that offers its guests captivating views of the Caribbean, much-desired privacy and a budget-friendly taste of a classy vacation.
Each of La Sirena’s oceanfront condominiums includes an open living and dining area, 2 spacious bedrooms where even king-size beds don’t seem too big, a cozy kitchen with a raised breakfast counter, two lovely bathrooms and a relaxing terrace with views of the ocean and the lush tropical forest to the north.
But the best part of La Sirena is definitely its breathtaking views of the Caribbean and the majestic Yal Ku lagoon. Wherever you are in this sea condo, you will have clear blue sky and the azure ocean as your backdrop. The wall-size windows will not only add that “tropical paradise” postcard feel to your home, but will invite a lot of natural light and the gentle ocean breeze into your living space.
And if you feel like taking a closer look at the underwater world of the reef, all you have to do is cross the raised sand area (complete with shady palapas and chaise lounges), put your snorkeling gear on, and dive right into the crystal clear waters of Caribbean.
This is truly one of those unique experiences that make you appreciate the beauty of Mother Nature.
If you want to, you can also check out the vast La Sirena swimming pool surrounded by lush gardens just a minute away from your apartment.
Since La Sirena condominiums are located relatively close to numerous activities and places of interest, you can easily bike or walk to the center of Akumal, the lively Playa del Carmen or mystic Mayan ruins at Tulum.
Or if you are in for a real adventure, you can try fresh water diving or just take a day trip to the Cozumel Island.
There is no doubt that after spending just a few relaxing days at La Sirena and the Akumal area will make you forget about stress, worry and mundane home chores.
So why not to give yourself and your loved ones the present of discovering the best of Mexico while staying in an amazing place!

LaSirena condos are large, with fantastic views of the beach and jungle. Perfect for adults, seniors and people without children. If you have kids go to an all-inclusive. If you want beauty and serenity, with easy access to great snorkling then LaSirena is for you. The sq. ft. of condos is impressive, with very well appointed kitchens. Although we ate out often its nice to have that big fridge full of beer and snacks. Housekeeping was top notch also. Watch out for the big iguana who guards the beach steps. I would go to LaSirena again tomorrow. We much prefer condos to all-inclusives with their noise and crowds.

Loved the location and property. Our grand daughter learned how to snorkel in pool. The beach had nice shady cabanas with a nice breeze for reading books. The kitchen had plenty of supplies to cook your own food. Two porches off of the bedrooms, and a porch overlooking ocean. Cons-Although we notified when we would be in our condo was an oven. No windows or air-conditioning on. I got heat stroke the first night. Could not open windows to ventilate bedroom, air conditioning never worked the whole 5 nights we were there despite repeated efforts of maintenance to fix it. Poor water pressure unless you want scalding hot. No TV, unless you bring your own batteries, front desk manager kept taking batteries out of other remotes which would then go dead, toliet kept plugging up, even though we didn't put toliet paper in it. no wifi last 24hours. Would go back, even to this unit, IF and this is a big IF they fixed the problems. No way without air conditioning.

We stayed at La Sirenia #13 & #14 this past January. It was perfect for our needs and budget. We love to snorkel, so Akumal was a must for us and we cannot wait to get back to Akumal next year. This isn't a 5 star resort, so if you want to be pampered, then look elsewhere. I read online, before booking these condos, that a lot of people complained about these specific condos (#13 & 14) being on the third flour without an elevator and what a chore climbing the stairs were. Well.... if you are that old, maybe these two specific condos aren't for you. They do have about 5 or 6 condos on the main level. If, however, you are younger these stairs are no problem. If you are out of shape... suck it up and stop your grumbling. Maybe climbing steps is what you need ;)

If you're looking for a great place to stay that is super relaxing, then this is it. Lovely pool, right on the beach, wonderful snorkeling and swimming, it's all here. The condos are 2 beds/2 baths, and if you are travelling with a larger group or a family the La Sirena Villas are very nice with 3 beds/2 baths. You can walk to Yalku Lagoon or it's a nice walk into town. We are die-hard Akumal tourists and this place is one of our favorites! I f you're wanting to venture out you can take a taxi or rent a car. Renting a pedal bike is a nice way to get around in Akumal. Don't forget to go across the highway into Akumal Pueblo.
Stayed in #14 for 6 nights. Kitchen was very well equipped. The A/C worked great. Spotlessly clean. The condo has THREE balconies - one large one that looks out on Half Moon Bay and two smaller ones that look out back but still have an ocean view! Very large shower. The garden pool is refreshing and this place has more chairs and palapas than anywhere we've stayed in Akumal. Beach is built up with a retaining wall which was fine with us. I put this place on par with Playa Caribe & Las Casitas. Only drawback is that it is at the end of the road so you will need a car, golf cart, or for athletic types a bike would work too.
