Nestled along the tranquil shores of Half Moon Bay, its calm waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Handcrafted Mexican Décor and Cozy Living Spaces

The living room’s floor-to-ceiling windows frame the Caribbean Sea, bringing the outdoors in. Rustic wooden furniture, vibrant handcrafted décor, and traditional Talavera tile countertops add a touch of authentic Mexico. The kitchen has a spacious layout, ideal for preparing meals or drinks while enjoying ocean views.

The primary bedroom boasts a king-size bed, a private en-suite bathroom, and ocean views through the large windows. The guest bedroom offers a king-size bed, TV, and a garden/pool view terrace. The guest bathroom also features a full-size shower. There is a single air mattress available for the 5th person.

A Perfect Base for Snorkeling and Dining

Walk outside and find yourself steps from the beach, where sea turtles and tropical fish swim among the coral reef. Half Moon Bay’s best restaurants and beach bars are just a short stroll away. Yal Ku Lagoon is one block from the condo, and the heart of Akumal, with its lively beach clubs and shopping, is a quick three-minute golf cart ride.

Location, location, location! We had such a wonderful, relaxing stay. You can't beat the ground floor patio, beautiful beach, and warm ocean. The unit was charming, the grounds lovely, and the host responsive and easy to deal with. We loved Akumal, its people, its restaurants, and the amazing views. We would come back in a heartbeat

Beautiful location for wonderful snorkeling

La Sirena condos are in a quiet, secure location. The complex is well maintained with a very large swimming pool and wonderful ocean access steps from the condo. The reef protects the bay from seaweed and is full of colourful fish. The on site manager, Francesca, is wonderful- very helpful and professional and prompt responding to questions or concerns. Our daily house cleaner, Jenny, was also very helpful and responsive. Unit 3, where we stayed, was bright and nicely decorated with colourful local art and seashells, but is showing signs of some neglect. Some of the windows and the sliding doors no longer opened/closed smoothly or locked properly. The second bedroom mattress was quite hard. Blackout curtains would be welcome in the bedrooms instead of the light semi transparent curtains. The kitchen counter would benefit from a new flat tile surface that would be easier to clean than the current smaller tile and grout surface that is showing wear. The condition of the tiles and grout in the kitchen and bathrooms is the reason for a 4 vs 5 star cleanliness rating, because our daily cleaner was very good. And the less than ideal overall condition of 3 is the reason for the 4 vs 5 star overall rating. This unit was on the ground level and we loved the easy access to the grass, sandy seating area, and ocean from our patio. There was also a convenient outdoor shower for rinsing off after snorkeling.

Thank you for your comments on our beautiful La Sirena three Condo. As I am here now, I have looked at the things that you mentioned. I have ordered blackout curtains. I have also ordered a foam mattress topper for the guest room bed, which is a little bit hard. All of the locks are now functioning properly on the windows and doors. As to our beautiful Mexican tile in the kitchen and bathrooms it will need to be replaced at some point, but I truly love the authenticity of it as well as the look. As you said, we are so blessed to have a wonderful maid come in daily to clean and I have instructed her to be extra thorough on the Mexican tile.
We want our guests to enjoy our magical place as much as we do. So I am always grateful for feedback on things that I can improve.

Perfect location to walk directly out the back slider onto the beachy area and into the water. There is not a true sloping beach, but plenty of sand and its literally right on top of the water. Just a few steps down into water and you are snorkeling right away (turtles, rays, squid, lobster and a ton of cool fish). South-facing beach means sun all day long. Walking or golf cart distance to a few restaurants. Daily cleaning crew was a nice perk. Non-master bathroom got a tad musty and cooktop could use an upgrade, but both still very usable. Management is very communicative and helpful. Would definitely come back.

The condo itself was well appointed with everything you need and the staff were wonderful and very accommodating ensuring anything we needed was accomplished very quickly. Francesca called fur rides for us and the cleaning staff and maintenance staff were wonderful. The on,y down side was you need water shoes to get in the water but the pool was great and very refreshing. We will definitely stay again.

The condo had a view that couldn't be beat. Walk in snorkeling, and even though it was windy, and the seaweed was thick in places, there was none in front of our unit. We hope to be back again sometime!
