Yool Caanal Condo #4 features two bedrooms and two bathrooms.  The Master Suite has a king bed and overlooks the blue waters of the Caribbean.  The guest bedroom has 2 twin beds.  With a fully equipped kitchen, living room and dining area, you will have everything you need at this home away from home.  

Be sure to bring your favorite DVDs as there is a TV with player so you can watch movies.  Wifi internet and Satellite TV are also provided.

This beautiful place saved me from a terrible Airbnb experience from another host! This place was amazing, accurate, and peaceful. The host and the workers were all very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. The first Airbnb I booked (different host) was not in the correct area as listed, not clean, and didn’t even have running water towards the end! This place saved me from that and the host accommodated an early check in so we did not have to idle after leaving the first Airbnb. If I could give this place more stars I would!!! Thank you again for the amazing experience.

5th time in Yool Caanal. We have been going to Akumal for over 30 years. We really like the condo, the wonderful staff but #4 does need a bit of a refresh. The new pots and pans are nice as are the two new porch chairs! We know that much of the “furniture”:in the condos there are cement with cushions but the cushions are quite worn now. You sit on them and you are pretty much feeling the cement. Perhaps one or even two stand alone. comfortable chairs would be a nice addition. Regarding the big house next door that replaced Casa Maya, there is a pool with colored lights that flashed all night. Maybe, the owner or the company in charge could set a timer or something on those lights so they turn off at a reasonable time. They light up the whole sky several buildings around. In a nutshell, other than the comments, we love # 4 and the staff!

Our second stay in Unit 4 was idyllic. Snorkeling every day never failed to provide a new discovery on the reef. Only downside was seeing tourists out walking in the bay then seeing the damage they did to the small corals growing in the shallows perhaps every property should include a message about protecting the ecosystem in their confirmation/welcome message.

We had a fabulous experience with Akumal Direct. The rental company was reliable, efficient and very profession.
The two managers we ended up with at Yool Caanal and Del Sol were very good to work with. If we had a question, they were very prompt and accommodating.


We had a great experience with the conceige service. We had a really good cenote private tour close to Akumal. The guide was very knowledgable and friendly.

Thank you for making our holiday a fabulous and memorable experience. We will use Akumal Direct again. Their staff is very prompt with returning emails and were patient with my questions.

Absolutely wonderful!! Such a lovely location with so many spots indoors and outdoors to just sit and enjoy the calming water views. This is also a great spot for people who enjoy snorkeling- walking distance to Yalku, right on the shore of Half Moon Bay, not far from the Akumal turtle bay, and driving distance to many cenotes. Very pleasant living and dining areas and highly usable kitchen, with terrific daily cleaning service (gracias, Mirna!!). Walking distance to breakfast cafe and restaurants. We also highly recommend the massage therapist at Hare Krishna Spa- he works wonders on backs and necks sore from snorkeling. Other useful clarification: check in and check out is at reception of Nahil Condo next door.

The location is perfect, three doors down from the best restaurant (La Lunita), at the end of the bay with little to no saragassum and easy access to fantastic snorkeling which we did twice a day. Only sad thing was seeing so many people walking in the ocean as the coral starts quite close to shore.

Had daily cleaning, which I wasn't expecting. We might not have needed it for our 3 night stay, but was a very nice touch. they responded quickly to one maintenance issue after our arrival. Beach is clean and their maintenance people do great job of dealing with seaweed every day. Had AC which we used at night. Lots of windows with screens and light. We had everything we needed there. and we'll be back hopefully some day. few small things: get shutter doors on master. Get some comfortable deck chairs in addition to table chairs (such as adirondack type of thing); the deck had possibility of being fabulous, but without those comfy chairs it wasn't as inviting as it could be. Replace screen door on deck.

Family of 3 for a week of exploration/sun

We brought our 7 year old and had a wonderful week vacation. The condo was about 1 hr 15 from the Cancun airport. Check in/out was easy by getting/giving the key to the maintainance man (very kind). He didn't speak English but our high school level Spanish did perfectly fine to communicate. Housekeeping cleaned daily. She was also very nice. Beautiful view from condo of the ocean. From here we visited and love the Akumal Monkey Sanctuary (loved it), Coba Mayan ruins (awesome-get a guide and they'll bike you through and share great info), Tulum, local cenotes, snorkled locally with the sea turtels/rays with a guide and also enjoy the beach access on property. The private beach is shared with the 4 units and is small but adequate for quick access. the shore and waters have a lot of rocks so water shoes are a must.

From here we visited and love the Akumal Monkey Sanctuary (loved it), Coba Mayan ruins (awesome-get a guide and they'll bike you through and share great info), Tulum, local cenotes, snorkled locally with the sea turtels/rays with a guide and also enjoy the beach access on property. The private beach is shared with the 4 units and is small but adequate for quick access. the shore and waters have a lot of rocks so water shoes are a must.

The condo is close to easy water access. The TV was upgraded this year and is a smart TV with Netflix. The ground keeping and housekeeping staff are very friendly and do a wonderful job. Booking through Akumal direct has always been very easy and professional. While I was there and issue arose. I contacted my rental agent Marsha, with Akumal Direct, and she solved the problem within the hour. I have used many rental agencies throughout the world, Akumal direct has been the most caring and accommodating.

we came to the apartment really late around 1 am, it is super far from the city, I guess almost the furthest in that area. The apartments was really clean but windows were closed and the smell in the beginning was not nice inside, like an old grandma room, then we opened all windows and in 10 minutes we were good. nice view and really good sound from the sea. at night one scorpion arrived to the apartment, we haven't had idea from where this pet came, but it was crazy. in the morning was a very nice view from the bedroom, but all around are constructions now (the manager told us about), but was not super nice, because people from there could see me in underwear. the beach in akumal not for enjoying paradise chilling, so we left in the morning this place.

Yool Cannal was perfect for us, clean well equipt condo on a beautiful beach in Akumal. Don't expect to be served umbrella cocktails around a bunch of people.Just quiet time sitting on the beach enjoying the waves crashing in. Loved it!

This is actually the third time I've stayed @ Yool Caanal. It's a beautiful place w/ friendly, helpful manager & staff. YC4 is really lovely w/ the balcony overlooking Half Moon Bay and snorkling in your "backyard" what more could you want? Be sure to say hello to the turtles!

We absolutely loved staying at Yool Caanal because it is small, only having 5 units. It has a nice beach, which is uncrowded, and was totally pleasing to us since we were there for 3 1/2 months while our house in Mexico was being completed. tis an older building, but was spacious enough for us an extended stay.

My family and I love Akumal and Yool Canal. We have stayed there several times and would not tnink of staying anywhere else. The setting is perfect, on a quiet stretch of the beach. It has incredible views from your porch and inside the condo. It is a great place to relax. We all love the snorkeling right in front of the condo. Also there are many other sights to see within a short distance from Akumal, such as the Mayan ruins at Tulum and Coba. Aslo the beaches at Tulum are some of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. Akumal is great town and all the people are very friendly. The town also has many different restaurants that are very good. Once you have been here it is very difficult to think of going anywhere else for vacation.

Our 5th visit to Akumal and our 3rd stay and Yool Caanal. We love Yool for it's private setting...away from the dense stretch of condos in the center of HMB. Yool offers a private location with less beach traffic and the best snorkeling is right out front. Yool is wrapped in a beautiful garden setting with a coral pathway leading you to the property. We always enjoy seeing the garden of palms, cactus,flowers an assortment of butterflies, birds and an occasional coatimundi. On this particular visit we awoke one morning to see turtle tracks in the sand below our condo.
We love the large balcony and the picture windows that stretch the full length of the condo.
The staff and property management is impeccable,friendly and always willing to assist.
We're convinced that Yool is our home away from home.

I struggled with places to stay in Akumal. Many choices, but not too many reviews of most places.
We knew Akumal is where we wanted to go to get away, have a beach, small condo, less people, and of course snorkel. We were also arriving by taxi from the airport (via bus to Playa del Carmen)so distance was a concern as well.

I had finally narrowed my choices down to 3 places and had an online 'chat' with Akumal Direct. What I wanted wasn't available, but I was steered to Yool Caanal, which I had passed over for some reason. I think possibly no real reviews to read. I was able to get personal first hand knowledge of the room, which was extremely helpful!

NOTE: I really wanted to write a nice review after returning but didn't see how. After no luck I had decided that the best way to keep it as undiscovered and remote as it is was to NOT write a review. :}. That was my plan, but I was recently contacted, so here is my review.

Beach: We wanted a good clean snorkel beach. Our part of the crescent really was the cleanest and nicest. It was pristine every morning. Once the sun went down I was amazed at what looked like tarantulas all over the beach. They were hermit crabs. Facinating! Access out into the reef is fairly easy. Snorkeling was enjoyable. Take care if there has just been a storm. (To see more turles, just go down to the main beach, with all the people, where the is grass in the water. It is nice for beginners). We appreciated having our own private loungers, shade covers, and the outside shower which I found on the 2nd day. They made Yool perfect. We shared the condo building with 2 other families on vacation with young boys. They were very pleasant company.

The Property: Very pretty, pleasant gardens, parking area, more private than most other rentals.

The unit: Older, yes, but it was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our wonderful view of the water and up and down the beach. The balcony was very pleasant.
