Description

Overlooking the Caribbean Sea from Akumal is Villa Sirena, just between Yal Ku Lagoon and Half Moon Bay. This 4-bedroom vacation home is a great fit for groups looking for a comfortable quiet retreat after exploring Riviera Maya during the day. Surrounded by tropical gardens, Villa Sirena has spectacular views of the dazzling blue sea from its oceanfront pool and spacious outdoor common areas. Standing on the northernmost point of Half Moon Bay, the man-made stone walkway to easily enter the water from its rocky shore for some of the best snorkeling in town. 

Budget-Friendly Rental For Adventurers And Explorers 

This property’s unique strategic location makes it a great headquarters for recreational and research trips to Mexico. Villa Sirena is within walking distance to everywhere in Akumal proper and only a short drive to the major archeological sites, cenotes, beaches, and nature parks in the area. The large spacious areas indoors and rooms sleep up to 12 guests with plenty of room for everyone and their gear. Divers and fisherfolk love the vicinity of nearby dive shops and the house’s expansive open floor layout for their equipment. 

Classic Riviera Maya Architectural Style

Designed to withstand the elements, this vacation home features traditional built-in masonry work using the local architectural style of Riviera Maya. The two-story building is painted a cool white with limestone accents and decorated with colorful Mexican tiles and textiles.  Each bedroom has a view of the ocean and an en-suite bathroom with showers.

Downstairs is a room with a king-sized bed and a second bedroom with 2 doubles, each has sliding glass doors that lead to the outdoor patio just steps from the poolside patio. The bedrooms upstairs have mouth-dropping views of the ocean and quick access to the large outdoor terrace complete with lounge chairs and hammock. One of the upstairs bedrooms has 2 double beds and the second room has a king bed with its own private entrance. 

Well-Appointed and Fully-Equipped

Villa Sirena has a fully equipped kitchen to take care of your culinary needs during your stay. The living room has a TV with cable and satellite, a DVD player, and most importantly Internet, in case you want to keep tabs on office work, emails or surf the web. The house has an amazing view of the ocean and an amazing pool to relax and sunbathe. You can relax on the hammocks or sunbeds in the backyard.

What a beautiful space!! I can’t say enough good things. Scott was extremely responsive anytime I needed anything. He gave me a recommendation for a masseuse to come to the house! Fabulous! David was great to help with transportation, I was never worried about how I was going to get to/from the airport or to any excursions. Alma and Sergio were amazing! Alma made the best home cooked meals, and had the space looking pristine! Scott was right about water shoes, a must to get around on the rocks outside the Villa! The sea life is so pretty and I’m so happy I ventured out there to see it! I’ll be dreaming about the pool for the rest of my life!

We rented Villa Sirena @ Nah Hah and had a fantastic vacation. The home is just as described and shown in the pictures. The pool and views are absolutely fabulous. Alma and Sergio came every day to take care of us and the house. We asked Alma to cook a few meals for us and they were delicious. All the folks I dealt with at Akumal Direct while planning the vacation were very responsive, friendly and helpful. They helped me purchase groceries to be in the villa upon our arrival, book transportation to/from the airport, rent golf carts and book several excursions. David recommended a cenote excursion going through a cave which was an awesome experience ( I highly recommend this excursion ). Scott checked in with us several times which made us feel like we had a friend right there if we needed one. Thank you Akumal Direct - This was truly the best vacation ever!

I almost don’t want to give a review because I want to keep it all to myself.
It’s that kind of amazing.
I love Villa Sirena @ Nah Hah. It’s perfect for my family.
Everything you need for a week away. Nothing is missing here.
You can be active or do nothing.

Alma, Sergio and Scott took care of us all along the way.
Cesar who rents the golf carts is a gem.
Samuel at Pirata Tours Caribe is a so fun.

Perfect location. Good value. Lovely housekeeper who makes a killer pica de gallo! Generous room sizes. Everything about the villa was as described and exceeded our expectations.

Our Property Manager checked in throughout our stay and suggested an incredible private chef experience for a special meal.

Not sure whose job it is but the Iguana waste could use daily attention. There was a pile on the pool deck when we arrived and stayed for the duration of our trip and there was more each day. I’m not sure what the duties were but all we saw was skimming the pool and some walking around of the property. Room for improvement on the exterior/maintenance/pool services.

We rented this house with a family friend for a week. We had an incredible time in this home. The location of this house was amazing. We would book here again. There is only AC in the bedrooms and not the main living area. That wasn't an issue for us because the breeze was enough and we spent most of our time in the water. The property management was VERY helpful with all of our questions about the house and location. We loved our experience here.

A wonderful villa. Huge, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space, and bedrooms. Awesome pool and so nice to have while on vacation. We loved the location in Akumal. Helpful to rent golf carts to drive to nearby restaurants (but also walkable if you prefer). House cleaner (and cook if you want) was great, as was the yard/pool maintenance person. Akumal rental agency and their concierge very helpful with planning your stay and nearby excursions if you want. Roughly 1.5 hours from the airport, but well worth it if you are looking for a smaller place to stay. We would rent again.

The view is incredible. The pool is out on the point with no obstructions, giving you views in every direction. You can see the ocean from every location in the house. The windows open up nicely to allow the ocean breeze to flow through. The upstairs balcony was wonderful at night.
The staff is very friendly and keep the house very tidy. Alma cooked dinner for us one evening. We had been out for a sunset sail and came home to a deliciously prepared dinner.
One thing to note about the house layout. The king bedroom downstairs has an exterior entrance. There is a foot path from the back patio to the bedroom. There is no interior connecting door. It is perfect for a couple who would like privacy from the group.
We did not rent a car this trip, but found a golf cart was helpful for getting around Akumal. There are three restaurants within an easy walk. We enjoy La Bueno Vida in the evening. And loved jungle Juice for a morning smoothie, very healthy ingredients.
Snorkeling right from the house is amazing. It was our daily activity. The first two days of our week were perfect, calm seas and super clear visibility. The coral is stunning. Lots of varieties of sea life. The ocean became very rough midweek and it was not safe for those who are not strong swimmers. Also the clarity was clouded up. We walked over to Yal-Ku and paid the $20 entrance fee to get out and swim in the calm waters.
We had a wonderful stay, and will return.

We recently stayed at this wonderful home right on the water, and we absolutely loved our stay! The home is large and accommodates a large party for a variety of ages. We had an older member of our family on the trip with us and it was very easy for them to get around the entire home. It also worked well for our young daughter. The location of the home is also perfect. We rented a golf cart, and we used that as our main transportation for most of our visit. We could go to the local restaurants, a small grocery store, and the beach on the golf cart because everything is so close by the home. You can shop, eat, and relax on the beach with ease. The home itself is also fantastic. The pool is probably my favorite part of the home along with the easy access to snorkeling in Half Moon Bay. Choosing this home for our Akumal trip was the best option for our family and I would encourage you to choose it for your vacation as well.

We had the best experience, we are already talking about when we will have our next reunion in this beautiful house, it was perfect, our own haven. The beds were super comfy and the pool was amazing. Akumal direct was the most helpful agency I have ever used and they went above and beyond. We will be back!!!

We just got back from an eight day stay at La Sirena. Plenty of beds and rooms to keep the peace in our large extended family! The house and grounds are breathtaking. We especially enjoyed walking to town for breakfast every morning, the proximity to so many local archaeological and natural wonders, snorkeling right off the property, and ending each day with a relaxing dip in the immaculate pool (especially at night when the invisible edge of the pool makes a wondrous glow against the crashing ocean waves). Too many nice touches to mention. We met so many nice people in the village, but felt that Scott, Katie, Sergio (pool maintenance) and Alma (housekeeper) were especially friendly and helpful - they put up with my broken Spanish and patiently helped me learn new words. We are already planning a return trip to La Sirena!
