Description

Villa Loro is not your typical Riviera Maya villa. Originally designed by a renowned architect as his own home, its circular palapa-style design, rounded walls, custom furnishings, and seamless indoor-outdoor spaces give the property a character all its own.

Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, the villa feels secluded while placing one of Akumal's natural treasures just a short walk away. Start the morning snorkeling in the calm waters of Yal-Ku Lagoon, return home for an afternoon beside the pool, and end the day above the treetops with drinks from the rooftop crow's nest.

The Home

Villa Loro's open design centers around a bright living and dining space overlooking the pool and tropical gardens. Floor-to-ceiling glass brings the outdoors into the home, while the circular architecture creates an airy, unconventional layout.

The custom Italian kitchen features black marble countertops, high-end appliances, a central gas stove, and plenty of room for preparing meals together.

The villa has three dedicated bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms plus a fourth flexible TV/media room that can be prepared as a bedroom.

Upstairs, the primary suite has a king bed and private en-suite bathroom. A second upper-level bedroom has two full beds and its own bathroom.

On the ground floor, another guest bedroom has two full beds and a private bathroom. The fourth sleeping space is a ground-floor TV/media room with two twin beds and an en-suite bathroom.

Outdoor Living

Villa Loro's tropical garden creates a private oasis around the house. The swimming pool wraps around the back patio and includes a shallow lounging area where guests can cool off or relax in the water.

A Jacuzzi, shaded seating, hammocks, alfresco dining area, and gas grill create plenty of options for spending the day outside.

Above the gardens, Villa Loro's multi-level rooftop spaces and crow's nest offer panoramic views over the surrounding jungle. Settle into a hammock, enjoy morning yoga, watch the sunset, or head upstairs after dark for stargazing.

The Location

Villa Loro is located in Yal-Ku Ha, a quiet gated community in Akumal, just a short walk from Yal-Ku Lagoon.

Guests receive complimentary entrance to the lagoon, where calm, clear water and abundant tropical fish create an exceptional setting for swimming and snorkeling.

Akumal's beaches, restaurants, shops, and other local favorites are a short drive away, while cenotes, eco-parks, Maya ruins, and other Riviera Maya attractions are within easy reach.

We went to this home after a week at a resort to simply slow down. It was quiet, safe, and relaxing! Our family of 5 was able to simply enjoy a comfortable and unique accommodation for 4 days. The housekeepers were great as the made us breakfast and washed our clothes the first morning we were there at a realistic rate. The property manager was always attentive and helpful. Not to mention Yalku Lagoon was easy access and availabile to enjoy anytime we wanted to go.

Our family would stay here again!
