Comfortable, affordable and well-appointed, The Reef D is an excellent vacation rental for up to 6 guests. Part of a cozy family friendly condominium with only 6 units providing guests a quiet and private getaway with all the comforts of home. The second floor view provides relaxing views of the turquoise ocean from the kitchen, living room, dining area, and spacious balcony. 

Decorated with regional Mexican textiles on white, this vacation rental’s simple decor creates a clean and fresh aesthetic. The master bedroom with a full bathroom has a king size bed that faces the ocean with beautiful French doors that lead to the living room area. The second bedroom has two double beds, a private bathroom and a large window facing the jungle for plenty of lighting during the day. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of counter space for cooking and a lovely bar with three tall stools for eating. The dining area has a table with seating for 6 people and there’s an additional patio set for 4 on the balcony, perfect for watching the sunrise with a freshly brewed cup of coffee.

Dining options withing walking distance are excellent, La Lunita provides offers fine dining restaurant La Buena Vida family restaurant are only a 5 minute walk on the beach. We were 3 and stayed at a 2 room apartment, it’s nicely decorated and really clean, you have all what you need to cook
The apartment is in front of the beach
The beach feels exclusive, you don’t need to go somewhere else, just bring yourself and a towel to the beach
The beach is a bit rocky, I recommend to use “shoes”

Beautiful place, beach front, very clean, comfy, with beach towels, hair dryer and hot water for the shower.
I would've like to have some ground of instant coffee and sugar to enjoy it, before we go to the store and buy everything.
But everything else was really nice to wake up for the sunrise and enjoy it from our balcony. Loved it.

We booked a last minute condo rental at the Reef Condominiums on Half Moon Bay in Akumal. We had been staying at another condo in playa del Carmen that had significant maintenance issues, and we needed to find a new place quickly for the remainder of our stay. The Reef Condominiums did not disappoint! The unit was clean, the location and view couldn't have been better, and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. All in all it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you so much!

Everything was perfect in this 2 bedroom 2 baths condo. I traveled with my three teenagers so this provided more than enough space for us to be comfortable. The kitchen was great with breakfast bar, there is also a formal dining area with the most beautiful view.. The master bedroom is elevated so that you are able to enjoy the view as your eyes flutter open first thing in the morning. Parking right outside, cleaning service daily if you choose. A little market is also very close ( walking distance ..what you would expect to find in a 7-11). While the location is ocean front access to the ocean was blocked by Seaweed, you will have to walk a few properties over on the sand to enter the water (not a big deal) just thought i'd mention this. There is a public beach as you enter Half Moon Bay, they charge a small fee but it includes showers, lockers, you have the option to snorkel w/ a guide to see the turtles for an additional fee. Inside there are restaurants, charter boats and snorkel gear rentals (walking distance from unit). Another cute detail about this community was the golf cart / off road vehicle rental. We ventured over the bridge for dinner a couple nights for Tacos (they open after 6pm) dinner for 4 under $20.00 including tip. There is also a monkey sanctuary and cenote near. I really enjoyed my visit to here, and am sure you will too!!

It has been a great experience with the rental property. A great neighborhood ambiance! There are three eating places within 5-10 minutes walking, and a convenience store where you can get almost anything. The apartment was cleaned daily. The spectacular sunrise can be observed from the bedroom and living room! It was a heavenly experience to watch!
Few suggestions for improvements-
1. Please store some basic cooking spices like salt, sugar, pepper etc.
2. There should be a few kitchen cleaning towels
3. Include a strainer in the kitchen utensil
4. Must have an Iron set
