La Bahia #7 overlooks the stunningly beautiful blue water of Half Moon Bay. This 2-bedroom penthouse is highly sought after for its value and privacy and love and loved for its gorgeous view of the Caribbean.

La Bahia condominiums are professionally managed and the attention to detail shows. The staff is excellent and attentive, just one of the reasons we are happy to have La Bahia on our list for the best value. This is a four-story condo complex located right in the center of Half Moon Bay.

Unit #7 is located on the fourth floor offering a breathtaking view of the entire bay.  Half Moon Bay is reknown for its spectacular snorkeling where guests can swim with sea turtles and parrot fish in the bay.  La Bahia 7 is the ideal vacation rental to lose track of time enjoying the view with the ocean breeze and sun on your face. This condo is conveniently located within a 15-minute walk to Akumal’s restaurants, craft stores, and dive shops.

This two-bedroom, one-bath unit has a fully equipped kitchen, living, and dining area, and features an oceanside terrace. The principal bedroom is furnished with a queen bed. The second bedroom also has a queen bed. The two bedrooms share a full bath.

The two-bedroom condo is on the 4th floor (top floor) of a very comfortable modern building, directly overlooking the Caribbean. A glass wall with glass sliding doors looks out over the water and coastline to give a panoramic view, and there is a balcony just outside the glass doors. While we were there, a very steady wind blew into the apartment off the water, which kept the front rooms comfortable despite the 85-90 deg.F heat. The two bedrooms both had air conditioning, so all in all, the unit was quite comfortable in the heat. Access to the beach was direct, and the unit is within walking distance of a couple of restaurants, a dive center, and a few other spots.

This cosy condo was well maintained, clean and in a spectacular location. The building is surrounded by flowers, and beautiful beach! Amazing snorkeling in half moon bay - you could get into the water right from the beach in front of the condo. There are restaurants within walking distance. The condo is on the top floor, with quite a few stairs to get to - in case that is an issue for you, chose a lower unit in the same building. However, if you can do steps, being on the top floor allowed for an unimpeded view of the beach, and ocean, and it felt nice and private as well. We would 100% be delighted to stay here again.

We had a wonderful experience with Akumal Direct. Everything was easy. We arrived after hours and the night security gave us the key and let us in. The unit was cleaned daily while we were out, and towels made fresh when wet or dirty. The view was spectacular from balconies on both the sea side and jungle side, for both amazing sunrise and sunset views. The A/C worked well to cool the unit, and windows let in lots of light. We ate every meal on the east balcony watching the birds and sea. The only thing to note was that, when a storm blew through, rain water came pouring in through the doors and windows despite being completely shut. We had to sweep the water towards vents built into the wall, and the ceiling fans dried the floors within a half hour, no damage done. Ants were also into everything, so keep food in sealed containers. Despite these little glitches, the stay was marvelous.

We recently stayed for one night on our way to Mahahual.The apartment was spotlessly c!ean and really well equipped.The views from the balcony were amazing.We would have loved to stay longer and may well do this in the future.I would definitely text the apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Akumal.

First time at La Bahia, but dozen times in Akumal. Perfect unit for 2 adults since only 1 bath. Great view from Patio of bay & for star gazing at nite. Please note on 4th floor & NO elevator, so LOTS of steps to get yourself & luggage to #7. Fine for us but need to be in shape. Sargassum was really bad and whole bay had issues keeping up with cleaning beach, which was a bit of a downer.
Kitchen was a big lacking in containers for leftovers when making meals and had a bit of an ant issue, so didn’t keep anything on counter, put in frig. Maid service & property management were great.

We stayed at numerous condos on Half Moon Bay. This is the best. Certainly the best balcony and the nicest view over the bay. The back balcony is a big bonus. Affordable too.
