Casa Alegria at the Reef condos is a comfortable, affordable, and well-appointed vacation rental for up to 6 guests, perfect for friends and families. Casa Alegria is a small condominium with only 6 units, providing guests a quiet and private getaway with all the comforts of home. Located on the second floor, Casa Alegria offers stunning views of the ocean from the kitchen, living room, dining area, and spacious balcony. 

Decorated with regional Mexican textiles on white, this vacation rental’s simple decor creates a clean and fresh aesthetic. The master bedroom with a full bathroom has a king-size bed that faces the ocean with beautiful French doors that lead to the living room area. The second bedroom has two double beds, a private bathroom, and a large window facing the jungle for plenty of lighting during the day. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of counter space for cooking and a lovely bar with three tall stools for eating. The dining area has a table with seating for six people, and there’s an additional patio set for 4 on the balcony, perfect for watching the sunrise with coffee al fresco.

Centrally located on Half Moon Bay, Casa Alegria at The Reef has some of the best off-shore snorkeling right out the door. Plus, Akumal Bay and Yal Ku Lagoon are just a few minutes away, where you’ll find more great snorkeling as well as the most popular diving and fishing outfits in town. Dining options are plenty too, La Lunita fine dining restaurant and La Buena Vida family restaurant are only a 5-minute walk on the beach. You’ll find even more great eateries, convenience stores, boutiques, a day spa, and souvenir shops in downtown Akumal, which is only a 20-minute walk away. 

Riviera Maya’s most popular attractions are all within a short distance from Akumal for guests to enjoy fun day trips during their stay too. Explore ancient Maya ruins, swim in Yucatan’s cenotes, and visit the many nature parks in the surrounding areas when staying at Casa Alegria.

    The host was amazing. The AC worked PERFECTLY. This condo was so close to the water and has a lovely patio with sun shade. The unit E also had a lovely veranda to watch the sunrise and full moon. It should be noted that a car or golf cart would be recommended at this location.

    Overall, it was great after concierge Alex worked hard to move us to our 4th condo with working AC and wifi. Our original reservation at The Reef E was changed day of our arrival. We were moved to Hacienda Tortuga unit 10 with AC and wifi not working after a staff tried to fixed it. We got moved to another Hacienda Tortuga unit 7 and AC and wifi were also not working after another staff tried to fix it. Great view in both units though and restaurant is in-house and breakfast is just across the street the Jungle. We finally got moved to Lol Kanaab Suites unit 5 and everything was great. Walking distance to La Buena Vida restaurant and we enjoyed our stay there. Thanks to concierge Alex for assisting us. My review is for Lol Kanaab Suites unit 5.
