Bright, breezy, and right on the sand—Casa Alegria is a 2-bed/2-bath Half Moon Bay condo with a brand-new beachfront pool at The Reef (2025). Sleeps six, with balcony dining over the Caribbean, fast Wi-Fi, and an easy stroll to Akumal Bay or Yal Ku Lagoon. A laid-back, family-friendly home base in Akumal Norte.

Inside Your Tropical Home

Kick off your sandals and settle into shoreline living. The living room and dining nook open to blue-on-blue views, and the furnished balcony is your front-row seat to sunrise. The kitchen’s breakfast bar makes quick work of fruit plates and tacos between swims.

Sleep comes easy in the king-bed primary, where opening the French doors to the living room turns the Caribbean into your headboard. The guest bedroom fits two double beds and enjoys its own en-suite bathroom, comfortable for up to four guests. A second full bath serves the primary/common areas. You’ll find cool tile underfoot, light woods, and sea-tinted textiles throughout.

A/C keeps the primary bedroom, guest bedroom, and living room chilled; ceiling fans and cross-breezes cool the kitchen/dining. With dependable high-speed Wi-Fi, you can upload reef photos or hop on a quick call before heading back to the beach.

Exploring the Area

Stroll the shore to Akumal Bay for dining and dive shops, or wander toward Yal Ku Lagoon for calm snorkeling. To reach cenotes, PGA Riviera Maya golf, eco-parks, and Tulum’s beaches/ruins, a rental car or private driver is recommended; colectivos/taxis are limited and the highway sits beyond an unpaved approach.

    The host was amazing. The AC worked PERFECTLY. This condo was so close to the water and has a lovely patio with sun shade. The unit E also had a lovely veranda to watch the sunrise and full moon. It should be noted that a car or golf cart would be recommended at this location.

    This was our 2 time staying at the Reef. We loved Unit E. Everything was great and the new bed was very comfortable. We will be back next year.

    Overall, it was great after concierge Alex worked hard to move us to our 4th condo with working AC and wifi. Our original reservation at The Reef E was changed day of our arrival. We were moved to Hacienda Tortuga unit 10 with AC and wifi not working after a staff tried to fixed it. We got moved to another Hacienda Tortuga unit 7 and AC and wifi were also not working after another staff tried to fix it. Great view in both units though and restaurant is in-house and breakfast is just across the street the Jungle. We finally got moved to Lol Kanaab Suites unit 5 and everything was great. Walking distance to La Buena Vida restaurant and we enjoyed our stay there. Thanks to concierge Alex for assisting us. My review is for Lol Kanaab Suites unit 5.
