Some Akumal vacations are about packing every day with activities. Others are about waking up beside the Caribbean and realizing you don't need to go very far at all.

La Bahia 5 is made for the second kind.

Set directly on Half Moon Bay, this third-floor two-bedroom condo gives up to four guests a comfortable beachfront home with an elevated view across one of Akumal's most recognizable bays. From your furnished oceanfront terrace, the Caribbean becomes part of the daily routine, from the first coffee of the morning to a quiet drink at the end of the day.

THE HOME

The condo's main living spaces are oriented toward the water, with an open living and dining area that leads to the oceanfront terrace. Ceiling fans provide airflow throughout the main living area, creating a relaxed space to gather between trips to the beach.

The fully equipped kitchen gives you the freedom to prepare meals whenever you like. You'll have a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, cookware, utensils, purified drinking water, and purified ice.

For entertainment and everyday convenience, La Bahia 5 also includes WiFi and Smart TV. Linens and beach towels are provided, along with shampoo and bath soap and a hair dryer. An in-unit washer and dryer makes longer stays particularly convenient.

The condo has two bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom and air conditioning.

The primary bedroom has a king bed. The second bedroom offers extra flexibility and can be prepared as either one king bed or two single beds, making the condo an easy fit for two couples, friends, or a small family.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

La Bahia 5 is a single-level condo located on the third floor.

Primary Bedroom: King bed, en suite bathroom
Second Bedroom: One king bed OR two single beds, en suite bathroom

Maximum occupancy: 4 guests.

THE BEACHFRONT EXPERIENCE

The real luxury here is how easy it is to spend time by the Caribbean.

Walk downstairs and you're directly on Half Moon Bay. Settle beneath one of the beach shade palapas, take a swim, or head into the bay with your snorkel gear and explore the water just offshore.

Half Moon Bay has a natural reef environment with rocky areas along the shoreline and water entry, so water shoes are recommended.

When you've had enough sun for a while, your condo is only moments away. Head upstairs for lunch, take a break indoors, or relax on the terrace while still enjoying the view.

THE LOCATION

La Bahia sits on Half Moon Bay, giving you a peaceful beachfront setting without leaving you isolated from the rest of Akumal.

Restaurants are within walking distance, and Yal-Ku Lagoon is nearby. Akumal Bay, dive shops, markets, restaurants, and other local amenities are also easily accessible.

The location also works well as a base for exploring the Riviera Maya, with cenotes, Maya archaeological sites, nature parks, beaches, and the attractions around Tulum and Playa del Carmen within reach for day trips.

• Air conditioning is provided in the bedrooms and living room.

• Housekeeping is provided Monday through Saturday.
• The second bedroom can be arranged as either one king bed or two single beds.
• A washer and dryer are available inside the condo.
• Linens and beach towels are provided.
• Purified drinking water and purified ice are provided.
• Half Moon Bay offers direct access for swimming and snorkeling.
• Because of the natural reef and rocky areas along the shoreline and water entry, water shoes are recommended.
• Guests should bring or rent their own snorkeling equipment for the best fit.
• Parking is available at the property.
• Restaurants are within walking distance, and Yal-Ku Lagoon is nearby.
• This is a non-smoking property.
• As with most properties in the Riviera Maya, local plumbing systems require toilet paper to be placed in the provided wastebasket rather than flushed.

Very nice location with great views and very clean and well maintained condo. There were several good restaurants close by and Akumal beach was in easy walking distance. Half moon bay was excellent for snorkeling. Overall a great trip for us.
The only real issue was the sargassum seaweed on the beach property. Also the maintenance people did not attempt to remove it rather they we're spraying it with some substance.

Unfortunately during high sargassum season it futile to attempt manual removal but the spray is a biodegradable solution to keep the sulfuric scent under control. We had a great time renting La Bahia #5. It was clean, pretty well stocked and most of all had the perfect views! We could hear the waves from our place all night. Also, the front desk folks helped us with everything we needed. This is a very laid back place where you can just come and not be distracted by crowds of tourists rushing to get to their next excursion. We rented bikes for the week. When we had a health emergency, the staff was right there to do whatever they needed to get the help right away. Also loved the maid service every other day. We will be back. Only issue was this is on the third floor. Great for the view, hard on the knees if you have issues.

We really enjoyed our condo! It was right on the beach as described. Only problem was the sea grass. Nobody’s fault, but we couldn’t get in the water. The guys worked tirelessly everyday trying to remove it.
The guys in the office were super helpful...especially Adrian. He was so helpful and a wealth of knowledge.
The restaurants on both sides (very close) we’re amazing! We visited both frequently.
We were able to relax and just have a chill vacation.

The owners were great at communicating prior to our stay. The place was darling, clean and really well equipped. The location is perfect. It is in the middle of beautiful half moon bay with a snorkeling park around the corner. The whole area has been struggling with the sargasso grass. There was a lot of it in the beach, but there were many people working on removing it. We still were able to access the bay and we had plenty of things to do when we were there. Akumal is one of the loveliest places I have ever experienced
