New Modes of Transportation to Get Around

You don’t want to rent a car?  Hate negotiating taxi fare?

Well, you have a new option for getting up and down the Riviera Maya.  Articulated buses.  What’s an articulated bus you ask?  It’s a high-capacity bus that has an extra axel and two compartments (we had to google it).

140 buses will be providing a new service with routes along the Riviera Maya connecting Cancun and Tulum. Each will accommodate 160 passengers. It is anticipated that both tourists and locals will love these new buses.

Not your typical “Chicken-Bus”

The eco-friendly buses are natural gas-powered buses will also be equipped with wifi and “top quality services” intended to provide modern, comfortable, safe and efficient service at a price that is accessible to everyone. The 87-mile route starts in downtown Cancún and includes the hotel zone. Buses will make stops at cities along the way, including Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, and Akumal.

We will let you know when we have a schedule available.
