Peace and tranquility have become a rare luxury in our always-connected technological world. Fortunately, there are still places where the sun always shines, palm trees grow right out of the sugary white sand and long midday siestas are considered an important part of the everyday agenda.
Riviera Maya and in particularly Aventural Akumal is one such place. While Villa Serenity is one of the best beachfront properties in which to enjoy your relaxing family vacation.
Rest assured – nothing and no one will disturb your stay at Villa Serenity. The moment you drive through the gated entrance of the villa, you will literally feel all your stress and worries left behind closed doors. Take a deep refreshing breath and feel the cleansing atmosphere of joy and serenity fill your body.
Once inside the villa, take your shoes off, walk past the beautiful and inviting open-concept living space, open the expansive sliding doors and feel the warmth of the powdery white sand under your toes. With a cozy outdoor dining area, a beach palapa and palms framing the crystalline water of the Caribbean, it is easy to believe – you are in a tropical paradise.
Going back inside the house, you will notice a spacious living area centered around a large flat-screen Satellite TV, a cozy indoor dining room large enough to seat 8 people and a gorgeous fully-equipped kitchen that boasts granite countertops and the high-quality appliances.
The beach level of the house also features a large guest bedroom furnished with 2 single beds and an adjoining bathroom. The large glass sliders open this bedroom to postcard perfect views of Aventuras Akumal Bay and the beach.
The entire upper floor of the villa is dedicated to 2 charming Master Suites that are mirror-images of each other. The upstairs is designed so each bedroom has two large private terraces – one facing the turquoise water of the Caribbean and the other showcasing lavish jungle views. This is a wonderful feature because you get to see both – the vibrant sunrises over Aventuras Akumal Bay and the gorgeous tropical sunsets over the Yucatan Jungle. And at night, when both glass sliders are opened, refreshing sea breezes fill the room, reminding you that the sea is just a stone’s throw away. Naturally, both Master suites come with a king-sized bed, large closet and an en-suite bathroom.
But what about the swimming pool? It would be unfair to take even an inch of the gorgeous white sand beach, so the pool is located on the garden side of the Villa through a doorway on the next lot. Guests of Villa Serenity have exclusive use of this brand new and quite deep swimming pool.
For other fun activities and commodities such as shopping, bars and restaurants, the town of Akumal is just a few minutes away. This is where locals and other visitors enjoy a beer together, swap stories and share travel experiences.
If you are a golfer try the Riviera Maya Golf Course located at Bahia Principe. And of course, don’t forget about snorkeling and kayaking. The marine life of Riviera Maya and Aventuras Akumal Bay is well-worth exploring!

We chose Villa Serenity for our vacation. Although we got out quite a bit, we were always just as happy to stay in for a day and spend time on the property. The villa easily accommodated 4 adults and two kids and was especially great for the youngest (4yo and 2yo) as it offered both the beach and the pool. We felt like we spent a week in heaven!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Serenity. The house was nicer than the pictures show and the beach area was absolutely beautiful. Would love to go back again in the future

We were very pleased with the location of Villa Serenity; Akumal is a 5-minute drive, Tulum is 15 minutes, several cenotes or adventure parks are within 20 or 30 minutes, 10 minutes to secluded Xcacel Beach. It's about 1-1/4 hour drive from the Cancun airport (assuming no policia delays!). The beach was long and wide with easy entry into the water and well protected by the reef. There is great snorkelling from about 100 ft in front of the villa. We could even see the occasional stingray patrolling the shoreline from our shower! We walked all the beaches in the area and felt the beach/sea in front of the villa had the best combination of everything. The villa comes with an awesome propane BBQ (we had been told we'd have a charcoal BBQ when I inquired, so this was a nice surprise), but no oven, which ended up not being a problem at all. The kitchen is very well supplied ... even lots of plastic storage containers for left-overs (from Chef Daveed's dinner) or lunches. Beds were comfortable, lots of ceiling fans and A/C in the bedrooms, which we did need since it was very hot (mid May) while we were there ... despite the fabulous cross-ventilation in the upstairs bedrooms. Lots of storage space for those planning a long stay. My only (tiny) beef is that the pot lighting in the living room either has no switch, or they are all burned out. Not sure that we would have used them as there are other lights in the room and the natural light was ample during the daytime. We requested a broom so that we could keep the sand away from the door between cleanings, but that didn't materialize so we splurged ($1.20 CDN) and bought one for the villa. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend this villa, and would stay there again if we return to the area. As an aside, Chedraui in Playa del Carmen carries normal milk. Do look for the coolers in the bakery section for a stack of their freshly mad

We loved Villa Serenity. There was construction next door that was a bummer when we arrived, but Loco Gringo

second stay at Villa Serenity and third stay on Aventuras Akumal. Would probably go back again sometime, as this villa offers excellent value. Couple minor details that were rectified once our Logo Gringo rep came by including no TV - quickly hooked up along with a few items needing some attention. Place could stand a little fixing up, but nothing too major, as the beach has always been our priority. Even got the chance to help a newly hatched tortuga make it to the sea! Awesome! The night-time guard was difficult to locate when we arrived (after 7:00 pm), but eventually found him on the beach-side - kind of annoying, but good to know there's a guard there every night.

our family of 5 loved everything: the house (villa serenity), the location (quiet beach), the beach (raked sand every morning), the sea and the pool. i will note that in march there is seagrass but the water was crystal clear once you swam past it.
