If we had to choose just one word to describe Villa Palmilla it would be “stunning”. And you will know exactly what we are talking about the moment you enter the walled courtyard of this luxurious villa.
The soothing sound of cascading water will greet you at the entrance and the sight of the massive mahogany door will make your heart beat faster with excitement, eager to discover what is waiting behind it.
Inside, the refined exotic décor, the grandeur and the openness of the living space and the awe-inspiring views of the sparkling turquoise waters of Jade Bay, will leave you breathless and blissfully happy at the same time.
A chic living room showcases a wall-size window overlooking a lap pool and a wall fountain to the left. The effect, created by this architectural masterpiece is stunning, turning it into a dynamic, ever-changing ‘mural’ of the house.
A tasteful dining area, furnished with exquisite hand-made furniture from local Chechen hardwood, is perfect for laid-back family dinners as well as important celebrations.
A gourmet kitchen with top-notch appliances is functional enough to satisfy a professional chef’s requirements, yet gorgeous enough to take cooking from an everyday chore to a rare pleasure. Rare, because Villa Palmilla offers its guests professional chef services absolutely for FREE, so you cook only when you really want to (see Amenities section below for more information).
The highlight of the living space is without a doubt, the million-dollar ocean view that opens up from the living and dining areas of the house. Large sliding doors disappear into the walls literally joining the stylish outdoor dining and living areas with the interior of the house.
Spa-like lounge chairs with beautiful beach umbrellas, along the side of the “L” shaped pool, invite you to relax here with a good book.
The calm waters of Jade Bay start just a few steps down from the pool patio. The Bay is teeming with tropical fish and marine life. Although, we suggest that you take your water shoes, as the entry is somewhat rocky.
If, for some unexplainable reason, you will need to spend a few hours working, Villa Palmilla has a private office just off the living area. Here you will find two computer desks, a satellite TV, WiFi internet, a comfy sofa, a private bathroom and direct access to the lap section of the pool. Kind of makes you wonder why all offices can’t be like this?
The upper level of Villa Palmilla hosts 3 luxurious bedrooms suites. Every bedroom, including the Master Suite, comes with an en-suite marble bathroom, and either a terrace facing Jade Bay or an ocean-view balcony. The Master Suite also boasts a private Jacuzzi and a chic 4 poster king-size bed. While the guest bedrooms feature a king-size bed (the 2nd bedroom) and two twin beds that can be converted into a king bed (the 3rd bedroom).
Just picture what it would be like to wake up to the views of the Caribbean every day and pamper yourself and your loved ones with a stay in the best of the best beachfront villas?

Margarita and Roger ensured that we were well taken care of. From margaritas and snacks waiting for our arrival, to our dishes washed every morning....we were truly pampered. We all had our complementary massage outside on the balcony. This location is close to ruins, groceries, cenotes, and other little Maya Riviera towns.

This is a beautiful, but rocky bay within a short walk of Akumal Bay to snorkel. Home of turtles, sting ray, and beautiful fish. Just a short drive to cenotes, ruins, deep sea fishing, and a great grocery store to cook great meals of your own, but Roger will cook if you want him too.

We have stayed at many resorts and private homes throughout the Riviera Maya and Palmilla was by FAR the best property yet. The property was immaculate and spacious, with every comfort you need (even a ton of hangers in a giant closet for all those coverups!) The decor was elegant and comfortable, a tough combination to pull off, and Palmilla did it beautifully. Pedro and Margarita were like family by the time we left and I was in tears when we had to go. Roger, the manager was a huge help whenever we needed and he went out of his way for us.
Loved that major groceries etc were 20min away, and that there were two nice kayaks to use on site. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are larger than most masters, and so would love to come back with the full family. Wifii was available at all times and the sound system indoors and out was great. Mexican jazz while eating dinner by the pool can't be beat. We had zero complaints and in fact were suprised at how much over the top the experience was. While neighbors are close, the walls and foliage are done well so that we never heard nor saw the next door guests. Can't wait to go back.

We have stayed at many resorts and private homes/villas and Palmilla was by far the best. The property is exquisite & immaculate isn't enough to describe it. Roger the manager and Pedro and Margarita on-site were beyond generous and accomodating. We will stay again, and I won't have to bring hangers - best closet for a vacation ever. We felt very safe, had to remind ourselves to lock up, and the location is so close to everything you need. LOVED it.

This house was stunning! It was beautifully furnished and spotless. Pedro and Margarita were extremely accommodating and friendly. Roger was there when we needed him and very helpful as well. We will definitely return.
