If you are looking for a relaxing and tranquil family beach vacation, Villa Palmeras may become your new favorite tropical getaway.
Being one of the first villas built in the modern and gated community of Jade Bay, it boasts a prime location, privacy and absolute tranquility, making it a great strategic point to explore the wonders of Riviera Maya.
This beautiful ‘white house’ boasts 4 spacious bedrooms, a two-story-high brick dome ceiling soaring over the living room and a manicured grass lawn around the pool area that borders with the white sand beach.
Inside, Villa Palmeras brings together the colors, warmth and relaxing atmosphere of the “Caribbean”. Light, airy rooms, polished furniture made from local woods and the sky and sea-blue accents throughout the house, remind you to slow down and savor the heart-warming feeling of being on vacation.
Especially, since Villa Palmeras offers numerous opportunities to rest, relax and spend time with your friends and family members. A sunken living room opens up to the palapa shaded patio and breath-taking views of Jade Bay. A spacious dining area and a modern fully-equipped kitchen create a perfect space for the whole family to cook together or share a savory Mayan meal.
Four equally-large bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and stunning views of the Caribbean, put an end to the debates of who is getting the better room or the better view. Actually, the only decision that you will have to make is whether you prefer to have access to a pool patio (2 bedrooms on the beach level) or love the idea of sipping a chilled drink on your private upper-level terrace, equipped with a wet bar.
Three of the bedrooms come with a king-size bed and one is furnished with a queen and a twin bed, making it a perfect choice for a family with a child.
A rooftop observation deck crowns this spacious beachfront house, showcasing a 360 degree panorama of the Caribbean. If you come here at night, you will be surprised at how close the stars seem to be. It’s almost as if you could extend your hand and touch them.
During the day, there are other fun and relaxing activities that you can enjoy while staying at Villa Palmeras. Just imagine walking barefoot on the soft green grass before taking a dip in the refreshing waters of the pool or walking a little farther and feeling the warm white sand under your toes.
The calm, turquoise waters of Jade Bay are perfect for snorkeling and kayaking. While the villa’s closeness to the center of Akumal, offers you plenty of opportunities to buy souvenirs, dine out, take diving lessons or explore the natural beauty, including the caves and cenotes of Riviera Maya.
Villa Palmeras is a tropical family getaway that is close to all the local amenities and activities, yet far away from big resorts and noisy tourist crowds. Although, if you are considering staying here you’d better hurry, because guests who have stayed at Villa Palmeras before, keep coming back and book it months in advance!

What an amazing villa! Perfect location on a sandy beach in Akumal. The villa has ll the amenities you need and was perfect for our group of 6. Wifi in the house and a pool outside serve you well but the best part is the great staff Palmeras has. Patti and Nety will make sure you have everything you need and more.
You can walk to Akumal along the beach, it's just around the corner.
The absolute best part of the vacation were the hundreds of turtle nests on the beach. We saw turtles nesting every night and were lucky enough to witness a few hatchings as well. You can watch it all from the villa's beach chairs. The volunteers from the local Centro Ecologica were very informative and after spending several nights with them on the beach, even let us give them a hand. Even if you are not there during nesting season, you will see plenty of huge turtles while snorkeling in the bay. Dive with Nety's friend Louis at the Akumal Dive Center and eat at the many restaurants in Akumal when Patti isn't cooking one of her fantastic meals for you at the villa.
The perfect location makes this a top Maya Riviera villa.

Eight family members, five adults and three children, ages 13 to 5, stayed at Villa Palmeras for seven days the fourth week of February. It was windy during our stay and not a great beach for swimming although we had some exciting kayak trips through the constant surf. The small pool was great for the kids. The house was very comfortable with a perfect layout of the four bedrooms and baths affording good privacy. The kitchen was laid out with adequate cooking equipment and outdoor grill which we used often.
The dining area comfortably accommodated 8-10 for meals. The hammocks and other outdoor furniture was extremely comfortable The staff was very helpful. Nearby cinotes, the lagoon and the beaches south of Tulum, a short car ride, offered great swimming. House offered a good place to hang out, enjoy one another, read.

We have been going to Villa Palmeras for over 10 years. We love the place and the staff. Patti the maid and Nery the groundsman have become close friends. The house is perfect for us. I love walking the beach in the evening and my wife loves lounging by the pool and reading. Has a great outdoor grilling area and well equiped kitchen. Out door shower is nice, roof top seating area very cool for stargazing, etc. Jungle side covered patio nice for playing cards etc. Just a great place.

A very nice 4 bedroom, with AC in the bedrooms. Pool, BBQ grill, roof top sitting area. Patti, the maid and or cook, Nettie, the groundsman,(very sharp and helpful), and a night security guard that played cards with our college age sons. The beach was a little rough and water shoes are a must. Lots of coral and sea urchins, but also lots of tropical fish, and we saw turtles right off the beach. Just a short walk up to Akumal.

A beautiful Villa to spend time exploring the wonders of the caribbean. We come annually to this specific Villa because we love the beach where you can play in the waves when it is breezy and enjoy great snorkeling when the waves are calm. It is serene and quiet and just a few minutes walk down the beach to Akumal for meals and entertainment. We have introduced the Mayan riviera to both our children and extended family and stayed here. We highly recommend Villa Palmeras.

Our group of friends have stayed at Villa Palmeras for the past two years. We love the location, the house and the staff. Nery and Patty take very good care of us and we said.. "See you next year!" when we left last week! Jade Beach is very nice, not crowded and a short walk to shops, restaurants and the dive shop. Akumal is wonderful if you are looking for a quiet locale. Book it! You will LOVE Villa Palmeras!

This is the perfect property to relax, explore, and enjoy from! My friends and I have been traveling together for 31 years and we have stopped in our tracks at Villa Palmeras. This was our second year and we have already booked for 2014! This beautiful home is comfortable, right on the beach, and the nice size pool is always the right temperature! The kitchen and grill are great for the times you just want to stay and enjoy at home and the rooftop is a gorgeous way to end your day under the stars. Safe, maintained, and relaxing....you couldn't ask for anything more!!!

Villa Palmeras is the perfect place to stay! We've stayed there with our kids and without our kids, and it is fabulous for both. The kids love the pool and playing in the ocean, and my husband and I tried out the paddle boards and enjoyed quiet walks on the beach. So fun! Patti and Neri are amazing and will help with anything you need. It is close to some fabulous restaurants and lots of fun cenotes and ruins. I highly recommend staying here.

Lovely villa, set back from the beach and shaded, which we loved. Very private and we felt very safe. House and kitchen were well appointed, rooms quite large and clean. Our group was 6 adults and 1 teen with plenty of room. Maria, the caretaker was a godsend!! She was always helpful, even going above and beyond when we had several car issues and letting us use her cell and helping communicate clearly with the rental agency. Fortunately, she understood most of my spanglish!! We would definitely rent the same villa again. Thank you Carol for sharing your home with us!

This place is an absolute gem of a find and probably ranks as one of the best holidays rentals our family has stayed at. The house is as you see it on the website and is simply perfect. Both the maid and gardener Patty and Nery are excellent and help you to enjoy your stay more. We could not fault this place and didnt want to leave. Stay there you won't regret it.

The place is a dream. Our vacation was perfect! We have 2 girls, 10 & 8 years old and they had a great time too. When we first arrived late at night, the house was very hot and humid. We thought it'll be like that the whole vacation. It turns out that once you are living in it, the temp is very pleasant. Thanks to Patty and Nery; they were very helpful.

Stayed there for a week in September and had the whole bay for ourselves! The location is absolutely amazing, a Caribbean dream. The white beach, palms, the incredibly blue sea full of colourful fish in front of the house and countless fascinating cenotes in the backcountry are awaiting you. The villa offers everything you could need during your vacations. The house keepers have been extremely friendly and helpful. Only the windows should be improved as they let the rain in during thunderstorms.
