“Simplicity” and “Total Relaxation” are the two words that come to mind when you think of a perfect beach vacation away from the city noise and big tourist crowds.
Fortunately, at Villa Elefante Volador you can finally get away from all the downsides of an ever-connected civilization and embrace a week of peace, quiet and uncluttered simplicity that will have a soothing effect on the mind, body and soul.
Nestled in between the beautiful Tulum beach and Punta Allen, Elefante Volador is located miles away from bars, nightclubs and crowded touristic places. Instead it offers a spectacular beach, absolute privacy and uninterrupted views of the Caribbean in one of the most unspoilt parts of the Riviera Maya.
Instead of a typical solemn front door entrance, you are greeted by an open air living room. Stepping inside this casual lounge with an oversized daybed and hammocks hanging between the wooden beams will make you want to put your suitcase down, take your shoes off and relax here for a few minutes.
Resist the temptation because the perfect relaxation experience would not be complete without a chilled ‘cerveza’ and a bowl of home-made chips and salsa. Which are easy to find, as the fully-equipped kitchen of this amazing beachfront house is ‘strategically’ positioned in between the outdoor lounge and the indoor living space.
The sunken living room really makes a statement with its high stone walls, skylights and expansive windows that give a 360 view of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve.
The main level of Elefante Volador also hosts two lovely bedrooms. Each has a double bed, tall louvered and screened windows, and an original open-closet concept for your wardrobe.
A beautiful Master Bedroom is located on the upper floor of the house. It will probably remind you of the modern lofts that you have seen in architecture magazines. Wall niches are alternated with windows and the floor stops a few feet before the end of one of the walls to give you a sneak-peak view of the living room. The Master Bedroom also features a double bed, an en-suite bathroom and a door that leads to a private rooftop solarium.
The solarium truly crowns this original beach house, offering its guests royal views of the Caribbean and acres of lush tropical forests of the Sian Ka’an Reserve. A built-in soaking tub and plenty of seating space make it a perfect place to enjoy your daytime Siesta or look at the starlit skies at night. An exterior stairway leads from the rooftop deck to the outdoor living area and the beach.
To make sure that nothing interrupts your peace and quiet and considering that the nearest cities of Tulum and Punta Allen – are 20 minute drive away from the Elefante Volador, the staff of the villa can arrange grocery shopping or chef services for you.
However, if you are in the mood to socialize, explore Riviera Maya or simply dine out, Tulum and Punta Allen offer plenty of dining options, as well as kayaking, snorkeling, fishing or bird watching tours.
One thing is clear – you will enjoy every second of your laid-back, fun-filled vacation in the heart of the Riviera Maya! And the amazing beach house – Elefante Volador – can make this experience even more unique and enjoyable.
