This oceanfront house rightly claims one of the finest and most secluded stretches of Tulum beach, challenging the very definition of luxury.
You won’t find flat screen TV’s, marble bathrooms and stocked minibars here. Casa Palapa is NOT an out-of- -place Western resort that landed on Riviera Maya beach.
It’s raw. It’s minimalist. And it’s perfect if your goal is to disconnect from technology and get in touch with the authentic beauty of the Caribbean nature instead.
Set amidst tropical jungle, Casa Palapa boasts a large pool and a private beach area just below. Spacious enough to accommodate up to 10 people this oceanfront house features minimalist design, enhanced by floor-to-ceiling views of Tulum beach.
The ground level of the house incorporates a two-bedroom suite and a private bedroom.
The bohemian-chic bedroom suite comes with a lounge that separates a king bedroom from a second bedroom, furnished with two single beds.
The third bedroom on the ground level comes with a double bed and offers privacy, lots of space and spectacular views. Naturally, all bedrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with private bathrooms. It is an eco-chic accommodation, after all…
Dubbed as “the grand suite”, it occupies the entire upper floor of the house.
Besides the two stylish king bedrooms – each with an en-suite bathroom – the grand suite features a lounge equipped with a private Jacuzzi and a multi-level sun terrace, overlooking the turquoise waters of the Caribbean and the alabaster sands of the Tulum beach.
What if we tell you that the name of the house was inspired by the 4,300 square feet Palapa. This open-sided space with 50 foot-high ceilings, serves as a giant lounge appointed with a full kitchen, generous 20-seater dining table, capacious wine rack, plush sofas and soft bean chairs.
This stylish chill-out area is seamlessly connected to the house by a long and curving infinity pool. It culminates with a massive staircase that leads from the Palapa directly to the beach.
Other ‘wow’ factors of the Casa Palapa include outdoor BBQ facilities, free Wi-Fi internet, free parking, additional private chef services, yoga classes and an access to a famous Papaya Playa Project beach club and restaurant.
Casa Palapa may not be your typical ocean front house, but it has all the right ingredients to make your vacation in Tulum rustically luxurious and soulfully gratifying.
