If you usually rent a beach house or stay in a 5-star beach resort, this year you may want to try something a little bit different and, possibly, more exciting. Instead of spending your vacation in one of the overadvertised and overcrowded tourist spots how about embracing privacy, tranquility and the virgin beauty of Yal Ku Lagoon?
Here, the crystalline waters of the Caribbean, lush vegetation and unparalleled rocky shores can compare only to the world-famous Italian landscapes of Sardinia. The opportunity to admire a wide variety of marine animals and even swim alongside sea turtles makes a stay at Yal Ku Lagoon all that much more exciting.
Its gorgeous white archways, a palapa covered balcony that runs the entire length of the second level, elaborate stone patio areas and a coral-paved path that leads down to a private entrance to the lagoon – all highlight the natural beauty of this place, creating an oasis of tranquility and relaxation.
With 3500 square feet of living space and 4 spacious bedrooms (3 inside the main house and one in a delightful casita house) Casa Aurora Akumal is ideal for groups of up to 10 people or large families travelling with children.
Two of the three bedrooms of this Akumal villa are located on the lower floor. Both boast cozy en-suite baths and separate entrances opening onto the spacious downstairs patio. One bedroom offers a king-size bed, while the other one has built-in twin beds that are great for teenage children. They will appreciate the privacy of their own space, while parents will enjoy some peace and quiet.
The upper level provides a spacious, open floor living and dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen and a master bedroom with an oversized bathroom and two separate sinks, designed to put an end to any bathroom conflicts.
It is also worth mentioning that ALL the rooms of the house pamper their guests with stunning views of Yal Ku Lagoon, so whether you are having a few snacks in the kitchen, enjoying your morning coffee on the patio or chatting with the rest of your group in the living room, you will always have that gorgeous Caribbean backdrop.
The interior design of the Casa Aurora is equally charming. Cane furniture, rich chocolate-colored doors and splashes of candy pink fabrics contribute to the ‘beachy’ feel of this home, reminding you of a chocolate-strawberry ice-cream.
The 1-bedroomed casita, located by the tropical garden near the sun patio and natural freshwater pool, allows you to accommodate up to 4 more guests with comfort and style. It has a large living room, a lovely kitchenette, and a light, airy bedroom with a king-sized bedroom and a private bath.
While Casa Aurora is located within the proximity of Akumal, you will have a myriad of fun activities to do without having to leave the property. There is nothing more enjoyable than catching a mid-day nap in a hammock after a morning of snorkeling or grabbing a freshly-made frozen Margarita and lounging by the pool.
So whether you are looking for a cultural trip or want to feel closer to nature, there is no doubt that Casa Aurora Akumal is your best bet for a comfortable and secluded accommodation. Start planning your dream vacation right now by adding this great home to your inquiry.

We have stayed in other houses in Akumal, but really enjoyed Casa Aurora. The grounds are kept immaculate. Everything in the house worked. The location on the lagoon is beautiful. The house easily accommodated our group. We snorkeled during the day, and played games in the evening.
The property is exactly how the pictures depict it. I would recommend this property to anyone. The view from the balcony is intoxicating. We spent so much time there.
The only drawback was that because the toilets are water-efficient, they plugged a few times. But the staff dealt with the problem quickly.

Our family was very happy with our accommodations. Wonderful and caring staff. Very clean and comfortable. An amazing view with excellent snorkeling right outside our house. The meals were very tasty. We would like to return to the same place next year. We really liked the town of Akumal and it's beaches and restaurants and causal life. Loco Gringo

We loved our stay at Casa Aurora. The location by the lagoon was perfect and the staff was attentive. The separate bedrooms afforded everyone great privacy. We appreciated the games & puzzles that were available to fill our lazy afternoons. We'll definitely be back!

We found our perfect vacation rental with Casa Aurora. The house was beautiful and perfectly fit our family of 9. With 3 couples in the main house and me and my two small and noisy children in the casita, we were all able to be together but not too close! We gathered around the pool or front patios, where we found a nice combination of sun and shade. Being close to the laguna and close to the beach gave us many options, yet we often spent the days poolside, biking to and from town or just reading and watching the sea. The staff was exceptional, and the cooking so good we opted to eat home more than out! I look forward to returning to Akumal and can 't imagine choosing another home.
