Art imitates life on the beach at Suenos Tulum with amazing wall reliefs and murals that reflect Nature and the Maya in the context of the beach environment. This alternate energy mini-resort has 12 rooms in four buildings, plus a beach front swimming pool and restaurant.
Tulum beach is a natural, alternate energy destination where all accommodations must make their own power or have none at all. Suenos Tulum makes noiseless power with its solar panels for lighting in the rooms and to power the beach front swimming pool. The grounds are filled with palms, sea grape and the specialized greenery of the primary dune environment. The sand is ultra fine both around the rooms and on the beach, which stretches for miles in either direction.
These fanciful romantic rooms are full of color. The interiors are all custom designed and painted in earth and sea tones to reflect various Nature themes and Maya Gods including: tierra (earth), lluvia (rain), cielo (sky or heaven), and selva (forest). Each has a private bathroom with custom tile and personalized touches.
Master suites are on the upper level of each accommodation building and have superior views, great sea breeze, king size bed, private bathroom with shower and sea view terrace. There are five master suites.
There are five Junior suites all are on the middle level of each building and have two double beds, private 2nd level terrace and a private bathroom with shower.
There are two Beach suites both are on the beach level of two buildings and have two double beds, private bathroom with shower, direct dune/beach access, however there is little or no direct sea view, mostly sand.
The focus at Suenos Tulum is simply enjoyment of the beach, pool and nearby adventures. We recommend that you rent a car and venture the road south into the Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve, and west to the cenote freshwater pools of Tulum and the Riviera Maya. Primarily this is a place to relax, renew and take pleasure in the beauty of Tulum’s spectacular beaches.

"Mosquito nets were terrific. Pool is clean and pretty. House margaritas were not very good (maybe not good tequila). Fruit plate for breakfast was yummy with lovely presentation."

We have stayed at this little gem with Elizabeth, Gi and Jorge (OWNERS) several times over the last few years. The first think you will notice when you arrive is the first class staff. They will also prepare you a homemade cold beverage of your choosing. Then the staff will assist with you getting situated in the best rooms on the water in Tulum. The staff treats you like your family... The daily menu is first class and the dinners are a dream come true. If you want a small beachfront stay with space... this is the place.. beach, sun and good waves....

The rooms and the property are beautiful and artistic. We felt as if we were at a family compound. The dogs are a nice plus - my 7 yr. old daughter loved petting them every day. The pool is delightful and also a huge plus for when the ocean is choppy. The staff is wonderful and friendly. The food is delicious and the service good (if a little slow). The property is geared for relaxing - lots of little private spots with hammocks, shade structures, lounge chairs, etc.
We all woke up super early because of sun streaming in through the slats of the shades. (we were on the top floor). We needed coffee, and unfortunately breakfast does not start till 8. The wonderful cook was there at 7:30 and gave us coffee, but we had been up since 6.

This is our second time back to Suenos. It is a fantastic place with great people, good food, the best beach, and terrific weather. We'll be back again next year.
