How often do you catch yourself daydreaming about taking a few days (or better yet weeks) off work and going on a long vacation somewhere away from civilization? To turn off your cellphone, walk on the beach, swim in the clear azure waters of the ocean and leave all your worries and stress behind?
The great news is this dream can come true very soon. All it takes is to find 4-5 friends or family members that are longing for peace and quiet in a tropical paradise as much as you are and book one of the Las Casitas condos
Situated in one of the most sought after location on the Akumal Bay, Mexico, the Las Casitas condominiums provide their guests with two different lodging choices – an “original” casita (accommodates up to 5 people) and a “larger” casita (for a maximum of 6 people).
Both the regular and larger casitas offer their guests two big airy bedrooms with private bathrooms, a fully-equipped and furnished kitchen, a charming living and dining room area with large glass-sliding doors and that offer a fantastic view of Akumal Bay.
But without a doubt, one of the most beloved ‘features’ of Las Casitas is a private courtyard that comes with each unit. Situated in between the seaside exterior patio and the beach it adds a tropical flare to the house. And comfortable outdoor furniture and the shade of the palapa and palm trees make it a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a good book.
A soft sand way, surrounding the courtyard area, provides easy access to the beach and the “Cannon Observation Area” – the landmark reserved ONLY for the guests of Las Casitas.
In the old days the heavy iron cannons would have probably served to protect the city from pirates and invaders as they over-look the entrance to the Akumal Bay. This observation point still has not lost its purpose, as it is a great spot to watch sea turtles and the colorful marine life.
And if you will feel like taking a closer look at the Caribbean flora and fauna or get a taste of the local cuisine, there are numerous dive shops, cozy restaurants and cute gift shops within walking distance from your condo.
So as you can see for yourself, Las Casitas is a pretty competitive and highly recommended vacation rentaloption as it is tough to beat the convenience and the price. This is one of the main reasons it books up rather fast.
So make sure that you secure the best Las Casitas’ condo for yourself and your family today! Inquire about this vacation rental and start planning!
We represent so many small, quaint facilities, privately-owned homes and we coordinate availability with local people. Add Las Casitas to your inquiry, we will get back with you, confirm availability and of course, answer any question you might have!

Our Casitas air conditioning went out on the 2nd or 3rd day. We asked for it to be fixed. The staff came and looked at it while we left to Cozamel. They attempted to call us all afternoon but we did not get the call. When We returned to the Casita the air conditioner was not fixed. The staff had arranged for another Casita and even offered to help us move, because they could not repair the airconditioner in time. This in my mind went above and beyond what they had to do! I could not believe how much they did to make the situation right.

Family with 3 boys 14, 9, and 6 enjoyed the location and layout of the Casita. Beach was great and extremely close. Snorkeling is very good with many turtles. A/C needed to be cleaned in one room before it would work good but in the other two rooms the A/C worked great. Internet was a little fussy but they came to help me get connected by changing some settings on my laptop. Anyone looking for a nice place to stay with kids will really enjoy Las Casitas. If you really want to enjoy all of Akumal rent a golf cart.

Everything we expected and more. Had been to Akumal two times before but this was the first in Las Casitas. Ideal for our family. We will definitely be back soon.

Las Casitas is always an enjoyable time when I stay there. It is great for families or couples that want their own space. You are directly on your own private beach when you walk out your back door of the casita. It is one of the prime locations in Akumal. Great experience at the the Casitas, will definitely return again, SOON!

We were very pleased with Las Casitas. We are a family of 4 with a teenage daughter and almost teen son. This location was perfect for us - quiet but near enough to pueblo and grocery, restaurants for us to walk. We felt very safe, even to let the kids go off on their own sometimes. We will definitely be coming back again.
The only item keeping the property from pure perfection was lack of a washing machine, but that's small comparatively.
Have already recommended to several friends.

I enjoyed my stay but was a bit dissapointed in the unit itself. Almost all the cuboards were locked by the owners so not much space to put things. No kettle or coffee grinder - things we like on vacation. The porch thached roof was falling apart so no real shaded space to enjoy....and those barking dogs!!!! Now that was a real pain. I come on vacation for privacy and solitude, not to hear dogs barking constantly. Too many stray cats running around and the smell of fecies was too much to bare while sitting outside. I would not recomed this unit but would certainly suggest a unit closer to the town centre, away from the dogs.

This was our first big vacation with our two toddlers. We were quite nervous about traveling with them, and felt we needed to be really selective about our destination. Las Casitas went far beyond our expectations: the beach was sublime, our little private patio/garden felt like a secluded paradise, it was quiet, and the condo was perfect for both my husband and me and our two children.
We definitely plan on returning, hopefully every year! The people at reception could not have been nicer, and the cleaning staff were thorough. Loved it!

We enjoyed our stay at Las Casitas. We were 5 adults and we were quite comfortable, although we did not spend much time in the casita.
The patio area was perfect for enjoying the view of the bay, and the occasional breeze. I liked that there is a drying rack for wet snorkel gear or swim wear right outside the patio door.
The beach area that is just in front of the larger casitas is perfect for lounging in the sun, and close enough to slip back to the room for a cold drink when needed.
It was easy entry into the bay for snorkeling and turtle watching was great.
Inside the condo we liked that it was light and airy, the staff kept it very clean, and there was plenty of room to hang clothing and store suitcases.
Yes, there was a hair dryer in our casita. ;)
Yes, the bed was rock hard. ;)
Yes, I am glad I brought my own pillow.
Yes, they come with a resident cat or three.
Las Casitas was a very good choice for us. We stayed during low season and the foot traffic in front of us was pretty light. We enjoyed being close to restaurants, groceries, Lucy's Ice Cream and just being able to see the action on the bay.

After countless visits to Hawaii, our family was ready for a change. Akumal is a beautiful part of the Yucutan and Las Casitas has the best spot on the bay. The beach is pristine . The water is warm and calm. Dive shop right next door. The surrounding village is full of shops and excellent restaurants. What more could you ask for?

Everything was great, but the only problem was the ants were hard to keep at bay in the kitchen area. All food was kept in ziplock bags and we were careful to clean everything pronto and not leave crumbs or anything like that around. Still, it wasn't too bad for me, but it bothered my GF a bit. Other than that, the property is great! And my GF loved feeding the cats every day - I don't think we were suppose to, but I couldn't stop her! And allergy sufferers, don't worry about the cats, they don't come inside - I am _very_ allergic to cats and it never bothered me. Definitely check out the area restaurants - we had some wonderful meals there, and since you're so close to Tulum, check ou La Zebra on a Sunday evening.

The casita felt like an authentic mexican home and it was spacious and well equipped. It's not like a fancy condo, but it was clean (with daily maid service!)and the patio was wonderful. The location was great for snorkeling and watching the turtles surface for air in the evenings. It was easy to walk to restaurants and the grocery store. There are not a lot of restaurants to choose from, but they were all good. This is not the place for night life, but it's quiet and safe to stroll around at night. We liked that fact that we didn't need a car.

We LOVED this property! Great Fall special got us in! It was well appointed for us and our guest. 2 large bedrooms and 2 great bathrooms with separation enough so each couple can have their 'own' space. Kitchen was very well appointed...everything we could possibly need and even when our blender broke, they brought a new one. Get a bag of cat food while your there and you'll make fast friends with the resident kitties. Steps from the beach and steps from lounge chairs and umbrellas. They even brought a bbq on request and filled with coals and lit it for us! Safe, clean, comfortable, great views, and you can hear the happy hour bell from the Lol Ha on your patio...doesn't get any better! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This was the best place we've stayed at of the 4 trips down to the area. We stayed in #9 and the location of this unit was perfect. The only thing missing was that there were no curtains or shades for the windows on the beach side of this particular unit so at night we had to make sure if the lights were on that we were dressed.

This was our 3rd time at Las Casitas. The location is perfect for anyone that loves the beach as you get a semi-private beach to share. Great for our family as the boys loved the beach and snorkeling. The Casitas have 3 grills to share but not a problem getting one. It was a Weber kettle grill filled with lump charcol that they came and lit when requested. If I would have known in advance how easy grilling was I would have made a couple of dinners in the condo. WiFi worked very good. Only downside was there is no pool for the kids. Even though they had the ocean they still want a pool sometime so we had to (twist my arm) go to La Buena Vida for lunch and a dip in the pool. Walking distance to happy hour at Lol Ha was great. Overall, very please with Las Casitas and would stay again.

Absolutely loved the location. While not fancy, it had all that we needed. The views and access to the water, restaurants, dive shops, made it one of the best beach vacations we've ever had. Beds were comfortable. Towels plush. Neighbors friendly. We can't wait to go back. We are generally budget minded travelers and had it just been hubby and I the cost during high season is more than we would have paid. But getting some good friends to join us made this 2 bdrm 2 bath unit fit our budget.

Las casitas is in a great location. Love the size of the casita and the private beach. Have been to this area before and this is always my favorite location.

The casitas are perfectly located, with a nice beach and snorkeling right in front of them. It would be an ideal place for children. Each unit has a lovely and private patio. The casitas are clean and spacious and the maid service is great. The only complaint is that the cooking utensils were lacking: the knives were very dull, none of the pots had lids that fit, and there were not plastic glasses for outdoor use. We stayed in a previous casita last year that was much better equipped and they are all slightly different. Overall, I'd happily return to Las Casitas again.

We loved Las Casitas, took a few days to get everything working (safe, phone, ac in one bedroom) but other than that things were good. We would go back there in a heartbeat! There were 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 children. The wireless was excellent and the view more than excellent!

The Las Casitas are ideally located. They are right on the water and close to shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back again SOON!

We were a party of 4 (2 couples), and this was our first visit to Akumal. I did alot of research on lodgings. We were extremely satisfied with our casita. From the moment we walked in and saw the view of the the water from the wall of windows, we were happy. The layout was well suited for 2 couples. Everything was in fine working order. We hardly used the A/C because of the breezes coming off the ocean. The linens were high quality. Plenty of bottled water. There was plenty of hot water unless everyone was trying to get ready at once which happened twice during our week. Overall we all agreed that the casita and it's location were fantastic and we can't wait to return. They are not as new and upscale as units up the road on Half Moon Bay and there is no TV. So keep in mind if that will distract from your enjoyment. The WiFi worked well.

Relaxing place to stay in Mexico. Beautiful sandy beaches, Great snorkling, restaurants close by. Maria our housekeeper was wonderful.

We had an awesome trip to Las Casitas Akumal! The view from the casita is spectacular and the snorkeling is amazing!! It was so wonderful to be so close to the water and to have such easy access to the casita from the beach area!! The casita was very nice with the exception of the patio which needs to be repaved. We noticed the other patios were finished nicely and easy to walk upon. We did have an issue with the very small tiny bugs that invaded the kitchen, so all food items were kept in the refrigerator and food preparation was kept to a minimum. I addressed this issue much too late in our stay and the office personnel was very quick to respond! They were very understanding and offered to try to resolve the problem. We declined as we would have to leave the casita for a period of time and thought we could manage without their intervention. Their office was also very quick to respond any time a request was placed for more drinking water!! Our housekeeper, Mina, was wonderful and she did an excellent job cleaning our casita!! We would definitely consider staying in Las Casitas Akumal in the future!! Katie, at Loco Gringo

Great place to eat to much, sleep to much, soak up loads of sunshine and drink to much tequila. The beach is your backyard. Couldn't get better.

Breath taking view. Morning and evening. Couldnt ask for better location. Staff was very attentive and more than able to answer any and all questions we had. Will definetly be returning with family.

Las Casitas is a great location. Private beach, close to town. The staff is the best I have encountered in 10 years of going to the Mayan Riviera, absolutely phenomenal. We will definitely be back. But the unit we had (#9) is on its last legs and is in desperate need of renovation. The appliances are old, the roof leaked when it rained and everything is a little bit rusty. From what we could tell, the other units were in much better repair and I think we just got the worst one.

This was our sixth time in Akumal and Las Casitas has to be our favorite... by far!! In general, the crowds have increased in Akumal but Las Casitas location on the far north end of the bay are very quiet. And this location puts in only minutes from all of the great restaurants in Akumal. Save us a spot... we'll definitely be back soon.

Swam and snorkeled every day. Saw turtles everyday in the sea grass and lots of fish on the reef. Loved the convenience of the condo. Clean and nicely furnished and only steps from the water. Well maintained property with gracious and accommodating staff.

This was our second visit to Las Casitas. It was even better than the first. The condo, #10 this time, was in great shape, the staff is wonderful, and the location can't be beat for convenience to fun, food, and relaxation. We snorkeled, enjoyed our floaties in the calm bay, and soaked up the sun, just steps from our wonderful patio. They may be older condos, but this one was well maintained and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Loco Gringo

We had a marvelous time in Las Casitas. It is quite private and well guarded. The little private beach is one of the best we''ve ever used. I''d recommend you stay in a higher numbered units as the dogs next to #1 bark loudly at all times of the day and night.

Great beach front location, off of the "main drag" of Akumal, and includes a somewhat "private" area w/o the throngs of weekend beachgoers. One of my children stepped on a sea urchin of sorts and was immediately assisted by the RedCross attendant on the beach. He was friendly, helpful, and a fun part of our stay. The place was clean and well kept, just as the description told us it would be.
