If there was an award for the most welcoming hosts and the friendliest atmosphere, Mayan Beach Garden Hotel and its owners, Marcia and Kim, would win first prize.
With “How can we make you happy?” mantra, your stay at the secluded Mayan Beach Garden will probably exceed your expectations (even if your expectations are already high).
This charming boutique hotel is tucked away on the white sandy beach of Costa Maya, just 30 minutes north of Mahahual (or Majahual) – Mexico’s second most popular cruise ship destination. You won’t find here the big beach crowds of Cancun or hip nightlife of Playa del Carmen. But if you are looking for a tranquil place to relax, unplug and take a break from modern life’s woes, then Mayan Beach Garden Inn is your tropical getaway!
There is not another hotel for miles, so the beach is wild, beautiful and blissfully isolated. Each of the hotel’s beachfront cabanas feature a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable king size bed and a large private deck, furnished with a hammock and lounge chairs, to put the final touches to the Costa Maya vacation experience.
Inspired by the ancient and mystic ruin of Yaxchilán, the upstairs beach view room is called the Yaxchilan Breeze. No other hotel room in Costa Maya captures the combination of welcoming Mayan artwork and refreshingly cool sea breezes like Yaxchilan Breeze. Impressive handcrafted king-size bed, hand-painted sinks and rustic handmade mirrors are just some of carefully-designed touches that you’ll find here.
The Palenque Vista is the largest of the rooms, featuring an elevated king-size bed and awe-inspiring views of the Caribbean from about every corner of the room and the exquisitely-decorated mosaic deck. (Please see the Amenities section for more details on Mayan Beach Garden rooms and beachfront cabanas).
While Mayan Beach Garden hotel offers blessed tranquility, it doesn’t mean that you will stay isolated and have to forgo on socializing. Be prepared to enjoy your breakfast and evening meals in the “family style” setting at the long table, chatting, laughing and sharing your day’s activities with other guests and the hotel owners.
Believe us, there will be a lot of experiences to share – from diving tours to reef snorkeling, from fishing trips to Costa Maya ruin sightseeing, and fun shopping and dining trips to the Mahahual town.
Bottom line is: If your idea of a dream vacation includes crystalline water, spectacular views, delicious food and soft, warm sand between your toes, then look no further! Mayan Beach Garden Inn has it all! Act now and claim this slice of Costa Maya paradise for yourself!

We were a bit worried about the 4 1/2 hour drive from the airport but for no reason. The roads were great (except the last mile or so)and once we got there, well, it was so worth it! Absolutely beautiful location.

Marcia, Kim and crew have put together what can only be described as an absolutely wonderful place. Being Mexico, you never quite know what to expect. Mayan Beach Garden is a special place. Rooms are clean, grounds are impeccable with a variety of flora, beach is great, and the food was delicious. We will be going back.
