Mayan Temazacal in Tulum Mexico

Nature vacations should be physically renewing as well as spiritually, and according to the Maya, time spent in a temazcal is both. The Mayan culture believes the temazcal, a brick domed structure for steam baths, to be the "womb of the Earth" where one goes to purify and reconnect with the natural world. Temazcals can be found in spas all over the Riviera Maya and some treatments are even led by Shamans. Locate a Riviera Maya spa.
