Free WIFI Is Now Available in Playa del Carmen and Merida Parks

Our dream has come true. The cities of Playa del Carmen and Merida have free WIFI in major parks, squares, residential communities and tourist attractions. The new WIFI falls under the Federal program 'Mexico Conectado', with Merida building its own information website 'Merida - Cuidad Digital - Parques En Linea'. As of March 1, 2015 Playa del Carmen has 25 public spaces with free WIFI and Merida has 125 public spaces with free WIFI. Bottom line for visitors - it is easy to stay in touch...

Plans for  new planetarium in Playa del Carmen In 2015, a planetarium will be built in Playa.  This will be the fourth planetarium in the State of Quintana Roo.  The Cancun planetarium Ka´Yok´  has been open about 1 year,  Cozumel is just about complete, and the third is in the state's capital city of Chetumal. There is also talk of a fifth planetarium to be built in Tulum or Carrillo Puerto in the future.
