Yesterday marked the ceremonial opening of a new construction project that will undoubtly benefit Akumal and the greater Tulum Municipality. It is an expansion of the Red Cross building, located next to the police and fire stations on the Tulum beach access road (Coba road). Playa Animal Rescue in Playa del Carmen is holding their annual fundraiser on March 13th from 7PM to 10PM at Bad Boys Beach Bar located on the beach between 2nd and 4th. This weekend marks the 9th Annual Puerto Morelos Music Festival. International musicians performing Rock, Folk, Reggae, Salsa, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Metal will grace the town square's stage.
