When you think of the color turquoise, what is the first image that comes to mind? Is it the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean, sparkling in the sun? Or maybe the soothingly crisp white-and-aqua blue decors of the famous beachfront villas that you have seen on the covers of design magazines.
Villa Turquesa is a South Akumal property that combines it all –the unspoiled beauty of the Riviera Maya coastline, hand-made furnishings, and soothing turquoise accessories thoughtfully placed throughout the house.
Being the first beachfront property located on the north end of the South Akumal beach, Villa Turquesa is an absolute paradise for those seeking peace, relaxation and privacy. Every other villa on the beach has neighbors on both sides, while guests staying at Villa Turquesa can take advantage of a large undeveloped section of tropical beach just a few steps from their front door.
However, the serene tropical ambiance and prime location are not the only ‘features’ that make Villa Turquesa so alluring to extended families and large groups of friends travelling together.
The moment you find yourself inside, you will be surprised by the roominess of this beautiful house. A wide open floor plan essentially joins a high-end gourmet kitchen, a classy dining room and an airy living area, around the stunning ocean views – the focal point of this space.
From the living room, expansive glass sliders open up onto the pool terrace, featuring another outdoor dining area. Because let’s face it, nothing can compete with a couple of chilled cervezas, a bowl of home-made guacamole and a soft ocean breeze on a hot summer day.
While kids are splashing around in the pool, you can finally enjoy your ‘Siesta time’ and possibly take a nap in one of the comfortable lounge chairs.
Villa Turquesa offers five spacious bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. Just one of the rooms is located on the beach level and it is furnished with two double beds. The other four bedrooms, including a Master suite and a children’s bedroom, are upstairs.
The master suite is rightly the most luxurious of all, featuring a king-size bed and private access to the ocean side patio, facing the turquoise waters of South Akumal Bay.
The two guest bedrooms come with 2 double beds each, while a “kiddie room” comes with a single trundle bed and a set of bunk beds.
Those in your party, who don’t want to completely give up modern technologies, will like the upper-level entertainment area that has everything from a Satellite TV to a Wi-Fi internet connection.
Villa Turquesa has its own guest house that adjoins the main villa. It offers 3 additional bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. See the Amenities and Local Resources section for the sleeping arrangements, complementary “extras” and a whole range of exciting activities awaiting you in Akumal and Puerto Aventuras.
Whether you are planning a special celebration like a wedding or an anniversary or just looking forward to a laid-back Caribbean vacation, Villa Turquesa will make your dreams come true. We are sure of it!
So GIVE your beloved ones a present and BOOK your stay by the turquoise waters of the Caribbean at Villa Turquesa!

We have rented this property twice for our extended family Thanksgiving vacation. There were 6 adults and 8 kids ranging from 2 years old up to 17. Everyone had a blast. The teenagers walk to Akumal beach whenever they wanted and everyone could just hang out at the house. We did go to Akumal beach but we drove. The kayaking was fantastic in front of the house and right around the bend you could do kayak surfing. We even went night kayaking with the full moon and it was the best. I would really recommend this home for a vacation destination, it was very comfortable and quiet. We even went to and bought 2 turkeys for our Thanksgiving dinner!!

Claudia, our hostess, was wonderful in welcoming us to her hacienda. Marguerite, our maid and fabulous cook, was so accomodating and even gave us recipes! It was fun to go grocery shopping with her. The house was awesome, more than we expected, and so roomy and airy, except for a few in the rear. 2 kitchens wonderfully equipped, so if we were there longer, we really could have whipped up some more comidas! Pool and situation right on the beach was great to go beach combing and snorkeling. Was very windy so didn't get a chance to use the kayaks but wished to. I certainly want to go back. And oh yes, having a masseuse set up on the balcony for those who imbibed was wonderrful. And such an amenity to have a US phone to simply call on! Thank you so much.

We actually didn\'t stay at villa torquesa but rented a nearby casa and he was our cook for the week. He was attentive and inexpensive, very accommodating and helpful. The food he prepared was extremely family friendly and our kids actually wanted to kidnap him and bring him home with us. He made some local specialties and also some foods that the kids were familiar with. He made our trip exceptional, which is saying a lot as we were traveling with our kids who are 8, 6, and 2. We would recommend him to anyone traveling with kids!

The unit was spacious and well-appointed, and the location on the end of the beach was great as it provided an open feeling. The views were stunning.
Jorge, our cook and concierge was superb. He is a talented chef, although a drop on the pricey side for. dinner. Still worth it as he cleans up as well as shops. 100% reliable. Charming.
He also served as our concierge and guide. He is completely fluent in English. .
There were some issues. The kitchen is completely bare of any cooking supplies. There was only SALT. that\'s it. No spices, condiments, oil etc. Which means we had to provide everything. The closest real super markets were 15 minutes north or south.. Akumal Pueblo has some small convenience stores and has a real town feel.
The tipping guidelines were confusing and the three cleaners initially refused our 200 Pesos per day offer. It created a bit of tension.
We were told there would be dinner waiting for us on Night 1. There was not, so we had to drive to the market and feed ourselves.
The free Massages are misleading. You get 30 minutes free but must pay for the second 30 minutes ($30 US per half hour) .
The beach directly in front is somewhat rocky, although you can walk a few minutes to more sandy spots or drive to Akumal or Tulum.. The unit had a nice supply of snorkeling gear and beach toys.
Overall this is a nice villa, in a nice location. Akumal has less panache, crowds, eating options and activities, than tulum or cancun, but it is more layed back.

Villa was well-appointed and spacious, with a gorgeous ocean view. Jorge, our cook and concierge was wonderful. He shops, cooks, and cleans. Really made our stay easy. Recommended a nice cenote. Beach directly in front is a bit rocky but sandy beaches are a quick walk or ride on either side. Akumal pueblo, which shows life as it truly is for the locals, has some small markets and a great tortilla factory, but supermarkets can be found 15 minutes north or south. A few things were not quite as promised. No dinner waiting on first night and the "free" massage requires you pay for the second thirty minutes. The kitchen has absolutely no cooking supplies, other than salt. Finally, the tipping policy for the cleaners needs to be better explained. They expected a rather large tip.Relatively minor issues overall, as this was a GREAT family vacation for our party of 11.
