This is a wonderful perspective from which to enjoy a dazzling view over wide Tankah Bay, one of the largest residential bays on the coast.
The beach level of Villa Paloma begins with an entrance foyer featuring double spiral stairways that lead to the upper level. This villa has an elegant symmetry to it and the formal entry foyer is just a prelude of good things to come. A grand ocean side with a cathedral ceiling and towering windows provides a wide view of Tankah Bay just over the pool.
There is a formal living room under the cathedral ceiling, and a second entertainment living room with TV, DVD, a large couch, table and a couple chairs. Around the corner is a fully equipped kitchen with an island and breakfast bar. A wet bar has a similar design to the kitchen with raised seating and it is conveniently close to both living rooms; an excellent set up for Happy Hour!
Upstairs are three bedrooms, two on the ocean side of the villa, and one facing the garden and jungle.
Each has a king size bed. Two guest bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom and the master bedroom has a private bath. The ocean facing bedrooms each have a private ocean view terrace. The fourth bedroom is in the small guest house adjacent to the main house, and it has a king size bed, kitchenette and private bathroom.
The pool features a slightly elevated shallow area just above a deeper main pool and the entire pool is surrounded by a sun deck that opens directly onto the beach. There is a tiled outdoor shower for your convenience and ample beach towels are provided. Lounge chairs are on hand for sunbathing pool side and on the beach. Two outdoor shaded seating areas, one off the entertainment living room and one off the dining room, provide another nice place from which to enjoy the view.
Out on Tankah beach directly in front of the villa there is plenty of room for sunbathing, however water shoes are recommended for walking out in the bay.
Strolling up and down the beach is a daily pilgrimage for the beach combers in your group. Also, an added bonus of this location is having both Blue Sky and Casa Cenote restaurants so close for meals out, not to mention partying at Happy Hour with other intrepid travelers such as yourselves. You’ll find the tails get taller as the beverages go down.
Out on Tankah bay you’ll find excellent kayaking and snorkeling. Two kayaks are provided for your waterborne explorations. Villa Paloma is a good choice for families seeking a deluxe interior, 4 bedrooms, guest house, great sea views, pool, beach and the comfort of central air conditioning. Also, for freshwater swimming virtually next door to the villa, the natural beauty of Manatee Cenote should not to be overlooked.
Add Villa Paloma to your inquiry list and dig deeper into the Tank Ha area that is close to Tulum.

Pictures do not do this property justice & the pictures are beautiful. Walking in the door your mouth will drop at the gorgeous view through the two story windows. Kayaking and snorkeling outside the house is perfect. Staff was exceptional. It was convenient for visiting tulum, tulum ruins, coba ruins and several cenotes.

We just returned from and an amazing week in Tankah.
Just after we booked the case we read a review which really slammed Villa Paloma. Bad beds, water pressure, kitchen appliances, bad everything. We contacted Loco Gringo about our concerns and where told that everything was fine, and it was. When we arrived we were blown away by the house and gardens. The architecture of the Villa Paloma is amazing. The craftsmanship of the tiled domed ceilings is like nothing I've ever seen. We have spent a lot of time in Mexico and rented many homes and often the photos present a better picture than reality, not the case here. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The sunrises and ocean views from the two-story window or balconies is breathtaking. It has a great and workable kitchen, unlimited lounging space, and probably the best pool in Tankah.
The previous review from December 2011 stated the water pressure in the showers was a trickle. We had very strong pressure in every shower and sink and we used them all during the week. The beds were extremely comfortable. The ocean breeze kept us from ever needing the air conditioner. The stove did not work, they are waiting for a part to arrive, but we still cooked many wonderful meals. We hired Chef Antonio a couple of nights for fantastic and fairly priced meals. The Grouper with Guajillo Sauce followed by Bananas Flambeau was incredible. I highly recommend. Antonio even purchased fresh lobster for us which we cooked on the grill.
The service and help we received from Enrique, Rosa and Hurley made us feel at home and truly cared about. I cannot say enough about Villa Paloma and will return many times. Tankah is the perfect location for a anyone that wants a location that gives them security and privacy while being very close to Tulum, Akumal or Playa del Carmen if they want more action. We enjoy Tulum, both downtown and the beach area, but found it nice to return to the seclusion of Tankah.
For us it was a PERFECT location to recharge the brain, release stress, meet new friends and enjoy the unfolding of a life-long family memory.

The casa is designed to take advantage of Tankah bay with large bay windows facing the beach. Every window has a beautiful view to the pool, the beach and the water. The casa has many areas inside and outside you can choose as your favorite spot to sit enjoy your visiting with family or friends.
The casa has a very nice pool maintained every day and nice beach chairs facing the bay. The grounds are well maintained and very pretty. Look out any window in the casa to see a beautiful view of garden, pool, beach or bay.
Truth is this place is just great in so many ways, we've been coming to this part of the Yucatan for many years and so sorry we hadn't paid attention to this beach and this property earlier.
We had the great fortune to have Chef Antonio along with his staff-our new friend Benito to help with grocery shopping, meal planning and the best breakfast and dinners you'll have anywhere.
The service and meals alone are enough to warrant and return visit, but combine this with the peacefulness of the area, the amenities of the casa, the great view, the swimming and kayaking puts this place over the top.
Can't say enough about this property and staff service-Any issues see Hurley next door or just invite him over for a good visit-great guy.
Planning on a return trip soon and this place is our only cloice, if Chef Anonio, Benito and the casa are not avaiable when we plan to return we'll adjust the timing of of vacation.

Our stay went off without a hitch. The house and grounds were kept in perfect shape. When something needed to be moved ( as in we were worried about the kids breaking it or themselves) it was done immediately. The food was excellent. It was fresh and clean and we enjoyed it fully. We loved the layout of the house for our kids. There was an office just off the master suite which fit a crib perfectly.
We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.

Villa Paloma was the perfect family vacation home shared by us, our adult children and two young grandchildren. This immaculate house had plenty of living space for all 7 adults and two babies to spread out - indoors and out. The pool is beautiful and the peaceful views of Tankah Bay made it a relaxing retreat for our busy family.

We stayed at an amazing Bungalow on the beach. We loved everything about it. It wast quiet, nice to get away from the bustling towns and relax. There was one room downstairs and our son had his own private room and bath upstairs.
