If the first image that pops into your mind when you think of “Evergreens” is a Christmas tree, than you are probably ready for a long, relaxing Caribbean vacation, sun-kissed white beaches and ever-blue sky.
Soliman Bay and Riviera Maya is an ideal destination point for those looking to escape the chilling winds, work stress and busyness of an overly-connected world.
Tropical Evergreens is just the place you might want to “escape” to. This beautiful beach house with its impressive 2 ½ story-high palapa roof and charming louvered windows provides the ultimate getaway for families and couples travelling together.
The Casa Grande, or the main beach house, boasts an open floor plan that incorporates cozy living and dining areas, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen. Here you will find everything you might need to prepare crispy quesadillas, chunky guacamole or more elaborated meals.
And on the days when you don’t feel like cooking, check out the great Oscar y Lalo restaurant for some mouth-watering local specialties.
Wake up to the rustle of jungle palms and the quiet murmur of the ocean…
It is easy to sleep like a baby at Tropical Evergreens, as both the king-size bedroom on the main floor and the two second-level loft bedrooms come with very comfortable beds. The ground floor bedroom is equipped with a private half bath and a full bathroom, while the two upstairs queen-size bedrooms are separated by a full bathroom.
There is also a cozy sitting area on the second level with a futon and DVD player. While there is no TV service, you can still take advantage of a large DVD collection, reading library and numerous board and card games.
Those craving to get in touch with civilization will be happy to find out that there is wireless internet connection throughout the property. Although, at Tropical Evergreens and Soliman Bay it is really about disconnecting from the digitalized world to connect with nature and master the “art of total relaxation”.
Head to the beach for sun tanning, swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking (especially since kayaks and life vests are free for guests to use). And after you are done with the water activities, make it your daily agenda to relax in one of the hammocks that are hanging under 2 large beach palapas, or maybe enjoy an ice cold cerveza while taking in the views of this tropical paradise.
Rent the 2-bedroom Casita guest house in addition to Casa Grande and share the joy of spending a week in a Caribbean paradise with 4 more people (see amenities section for details and sleeping arrangements).
The caretakers Vicente and Mari, who live on the property, will make sure that everyone feels welcome and pampered while staying at Tropical Evergreen. They will keep the house spotless and the garden and beach grounds well-tended. If you have any questions or need anything during your stay, just let them know and they will help you out.
Grocery stores, shopping and other attractions worth visiting can be found within a short drive in Tulum, Akumal and Playa del Carmen.
This part of Riviera Maya is a true vacation wonderland! So give yourself permission to leave traffic, noise, and distractions behind and spend a week of absolute bliss and relaxation in a secluded palapa-roofed beach house, surrounded by evergreen palm trees and exotic plants!
We represent so many small, quaint facilities, privately-owned homes and we coordinate availability with local people. Add Tropical Evergreens to your inquiry, we will get back with you, confirm availability and of course, answer any question you might have!

We stayed in the "big house" using two of the three bedrooms. This property is perfect for larger groups, especially families. The well-appointed kitchen was really welcome as we love to cook. The louvered windows and palapa roof are musts for us and Tropical Evergreens displays both tastefully. The house has a great, open feel. Of course, the nice garden in front and palapa just yards away made this house ideal for us.

The photos on LG do not do the place justice (it is more beautiful than the photos can show). We have done business with LG for almost 10 years and this is the cleanest property we have enjoyed. The interior and exterior looked as if it had just been renovated. It was our first time in a place without a/c, but the constant sea breeze and the layout on the first floor along with the multiple fans assured reasonable comfort during the time we were there (first week of June). The loft can be a little stuffy since it does not get the direct flow like the ground floor; the fans help immensely. I would think it might be almost intolerable in July and August. The week we were there we saw barely five people on the beach (probably because school wasn't out yet in all areas) until the Saturday before we left when a few families with kids and dogs showed up and interrupted the serenity a little, but hey, they were there to have fun, too. The beach dogs were a hoot and made their morning rounds while we were having our fresh ground coffee (provided). Overall we got plenty of hammock time in the palapas and were close to both Akumal and Tulum to enjoy our favorite places, although I find it hard to believe Oscar y Lalo's moved from the Corona-commercial spot they had on the beach to the highway; we were looking forward to shooting our own private commercial there :)

Wow, this is truly, without a doubt, the most relaxing vacation I have ever taken in my life and certainly in one of the most beautiful locales. We spent many hours just laying around in hammocks or lounge chairs just watching the waves, drinking Dos Equis and eating homemade quesadillas and guacamole. How great is that! The house is perfectly appointed with everything you need and what you can't find the lovely caretakers will locate it for you. Don't be worried by the drive up to the house. It's a bumpy road and you can't tell what is waiting for you when you finally pull up to Tropical Evergreeens, but you will be THRILLED when you walk in the door. Forget your troubles, come on get happy! This is the place to do it!

We had a great week at Tropical evergreens! The house was extemely clean, comfortable and perfect for four women for a reunion! The owner, Peggy was accomodating without being invasive, and the caretakers, Mari and Vicente were very helpful. Great beach, with snorkeling and Kayaks. I wanted to go back as soon as we got on the plane to go home!

A perfect location for a tropical getaway. Care and attention of staff was first rate.

Tropical Evergreens is a beautifully designed beach home, with the nicest stretch of snorkeling right out your door. It\'s a colorful, artsy, comfortable place where everything seems to have been thought of. Kayaks and snorkel gear are there for your use, and we had plenty of room for six adults and four young teens. Separate casitas gave each our own space with the Casa Grande as a cooking and gathering place. The caretaker family of Mari and Vincente were sweet and gracious and arranged a beautiful catered traditional meal by Flor. Hard to beat!

Tropical Evergreens is a beautiful beach house. Really nicely maintained, arrived late and all the basics for breakfast were there for us. Rosa, the manager, is very nice and helpful with general and specific advice. Quiet, gorgeous, right in the middle of the bay, small reef about 30 yards out had a nice variety, saw a couple turtles just off the beach. Pelicans hanging out on boat all day were a bonus. Extremely comfortable and pretty place. M. and her husband were great caretakers.
Again, we spent amazing 2 weeks in paradise! The house was very comfortable for family of 7, well equipped and very clean. We relaxed on the beach, snorkeled, swam and had greatest time ever! As every year, we did not want to leave and will be back next winter!

We are frequent visitors to Solimon Bay. We have taken out 70+ year old parents on a couple of occasions, our 5 year old niece another time, and our son at various stages in his growing up years. Tropical Evergreens is one of my favorite places on earth. The Yucatan has something for everyone. If you want to see ruins (Coba, Muyl, Chichen Itze, Ek Balam are all a couple hour drive – Tulum is of course about 10 minutes.) I have personally been to each a couple times. Ruins fascinate me. Or if you want to go birding, visit a biosphere, go bone fishing or deep sea fishing that is all easy from TE. I am not a scuba diver, but have traveled with friends that regularly dive out of Akumal. I personally love to snorkel, which I can do right out my front door. In Soliman Bay I have swum with Rays and Turtles, as well as a rainbow of fish. Some of the little buds are in shallow enough water that you can stand near them. (not hurting coral) This is great for new, young or timid snorkelers.) This year we checked out Cenotes. I could go on and on. Suffice it to say you can see many wonderful things. However again this year we just needed a break. So I spent most of my time in one of the hammocks. There are two restaurants on the bay so I did not even have to leave for food. (However the food is so amazing all over Tulum I really must insist that you get out a few times.) Tropical Evergreens provides an amazing retreat for my husband and I, our Friends and family, every year.

The casita totally lived up to our expectations. It was cean, comfy and super well equipped. The garden was beautiful. Both the casita and the garden were extremely well maintained by the caretakers Mari and Vincente who there but always respectfully in the background. The beach area was great with palapas, long chairs, hammocks and kayaks. A bit of a seaweed problem the last few days but we can''t control mother nature....

I am a travel agent and have made several visits to the Mexican Caribbean and just want to say how truly delightful this location is - I have visited Tulum several times but enjoyed this tucked away haven in Soliman Bay! I had clients and close friends of ours that Peg welcomed at the Casa Grande so my husband and I decided to venture out and check things out for ourselves as well! Peg by far was one of the most accommodating, gracious, insightful owners I have ever worked with - and by far her attention to detail and hospitality was also made apparent in the most authentic - gorgeous - beautifully and artfully decorated beachfront home! I didn\'t want to leave! The caretakers of the property were as delightful as the entire property - I would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking for a truly authentic Mexican experience - warm hospitality - delicious food just around the corner, and a great location near the Yucatan\'s most popular sites!
