Sometimes we read about luxurious villas, celebrity getaways and incredible vacation offers and we think to ourselves “This is too good to be true”. In most cases we are probably right, but there are always exceptions to any rule…
Casa Maeva is one of them.
Built in one of the most scenic and tranquil parts of Playacar Beach, away from the traffic and city noise, it offers families and couples the private and relaxing getaway that they have been looking for. It may be hard to believe that this secluded and peaceful spot is located only 15 minutes away from the famous 5th Avenue and not tucked away on some private little island.
Especially when you see the view of the Playacar beach that Casa Maeva reveals to its guest. The private palapa beach club, surrounded by manicured coconut palms, the wide sun-kissed sandy beach and the infinite azure waters of the ocean create a paradise-like picture that steals your breath away.
It’s not surprising that many of the Casa Maeva’s guests prefer to take a picture right from their patio instead of buying typical vacation postcards of Mexico to send to their friends and family members.
The interior of the Casa Maeva complements perfectly the awe-inspiring panorama. The tall, white walls of the house create a light and airy feel, while the dark furniture adds a classy contemporary appeal to the place.
The open space of the living and the dining area lets the energy flow freely throughout the house, making the outdoor view of the Caribbean the focal point of this room. It is hard to explain but even routine activities such as sharing a meal or watching TV from the couch are 10 times more enjoyable when you glance up and see the vast waters of the ocean meet the clear blue sky.
Similar, cooking in Casa Maeva’s fully equipped kitchen is a relaxing experience in itself, but it becomes even more satisfying over light conversation with friends and a few glasses of wine.
The Four spacious bedrooms of the house are worth mentioning as well…Two bedrooms are located upstairs and two downstairs. All of the bedrooms come with en-suite bathrooms, satellite TVs and access to the pool (downstairs) or rooftop Jacuzzi (upstairs).Three bedrooms are furnished with a king-size bed and one bedroom has 2 twin size beds. This makes it a perfect option for a teen room, while you and your spouse can claim the master bedroom upstairs.
There you will find a comfortable canopied bed, an en-suite marble bathroom, and private access to your very own rooftop Jacuzzi. Just picture – a starry night…a slow romantic tune playing in the background… warm water jets of the Jacuzzi melting your tension away… and your beloved one sitting right next to you.
No wonder even couples who have been married for more than 20 years rekindle their romance and passion while staying at Casa Maeva!
And for lazy relaxing mornings there is no better place than the pool patio and the beach. You can share chips and home-made salsa with your friends in the outdoor dining area, take a refreshing dip in the pool, or lounge under the thatched-roof palapa on the beach.
Sounds too good to be true?
Then you should check it for yourself, because this is what the best Caribbean vacation should feel like!

We arrived late at night and Claudia was there to meet and greet us. The house was amazing at night, and even better in the day. It was extremely clean & well appointed.
Claudia even organised a late minute Trolley bed in a matter of minutes for Troy who lobbed up on the trip unannounced.
We loved the house, 10/10 for everything in the house. The staff were amazing, helpful and a lot of fun to share our experience with.
After being there for a week we all agreed Casa Maeva was the best spot, with the beach hut - you couldn't go past it.
If you want a great house, world class service & a fun time book this place & insist of Claudia.

We just got back (June 10-14, 2010) and this place was fantastic. 4 couples rented this house for the 5 days and we couldnt ask for more!! It was immaculate (maid and gardner come everyday)the proximity to the beach was perfect. The outdoor private beach cabana was the best part. It is a 15 minute walk to downtown Playa, with lots of restaurants and shopping. There is a within a short drive and the management company was super nice. I would HIGHLY recommend this house...it was the BEST on the beach!!!
