Translated from Italian “Casa Bella” means “Beautiful House” and the name fits this lovely property like no other. Everything about this spacious villa is…well… simply beautiful – be it the unique, modern architecture of the house, the clean and airy design of each room, or the breath-taking views of Yal Ku Lagoon and the Caribbean.
The best part is that Casa Bella, combined with a lovely pool side “casita” can comfortably host up to 15 people. This makes it an ideal (and very affordable) alternative for big families, celebrations or several couples traveling together.
The villa itself has 3 spacious bedrooms, located on two levels, each bedroom opening on to a gorgeous view of the turquoise waters of the Yal Ku Lagoon. The pool side casita offers 2 simple, yet equally comfortable, air-conditioned bedrooms.
Each bedroom of the main house has its own unique benefits. For example, one of the lower-level bedrooms has private access to a sea side terrace. While the upstairs master bedroom offers its guests a private master study and easy access to an exterior stairway leading to a rooftop observation deck or down to the swimming pool. This is very convenient if you feel like waking up early to take a few pictures of the gorgeous Caribbean sunrises; you will not have to worry about waking anyone else up.
The layout and size of Casa Bella makes it easy to spend time with friends and family members, without feeling overcrowded or sacrificing your privacy.
For example. The house’s spacious contemporary living room is big enough and has plenty of seating to fit everyone and can be a great place to hang out or watch TV in the evening.
A large fully-equipped kitchen comes with all the necessary appliances to prepare mouth-watering dishes that can be either served on the terrace or in the elegant dining room designed for six people.
But if you don’t feel like cooking, there is no need to eat out every night. Instead, you can have meals prepared for you by a local cook. You also don’t have to worry about cleaning or washing dishes, as Casa Bella offers its guests full maid service 6 days a week.
You can relax by the pool, enjoying the beautiful view of the Caribbean. You can embrace snorkeling and admire the beauty of Yal ku Lagoon located less than 100 yards away from Casa Bella. You won’t have to wait long to see plenty of colorful tropical fish, big sea turtles or graceful stingrays.
You can organize an evening cook-out on the terrace, as there is a barbecue grill provided at Casa Bella. You can take an electric golf cart that is free for guests’ use and drive to the Central Akumal for shopping, nightlife and to see the beautiful white-powder Akumal Beach. It only takes a few minutes to get there.
And finally, you can enjoy a sunset margarita on the rooftop deck, feeling fortunate to be surrounded by the rare beauty of Mexico.
This is what Italians would call the “ Vita Bella” or “Beautiful Life” and Casa Bella is a perfect place to experience the meaning of this term to the fullest! Inquire about this large villa for you next group vacation now!

I highly recommend this property! We had never been to Akumal before, and were VERY IMPRESSED with the quaint atmosphere as well as the wonderful property management and staff. We traveled with several couples, and we all had a chance to do what we wanted - very convenient to cancun, playa, and cozumel as well as many other places of interest. The golf carts were PERFECT to get around in town, we didnt even need a car. It was a very safe, private area, with plenty of beachfront ammenities (bars, restaurants, surf shops, etc.). You can hop in the water off of the back patio and swim/snorkel in the lagoon, and the house was AWESOME!I travel extensively, and this was one of my favorite experiences.

the house is tryly a good pick, after having stayed in many properties in Akumal - this was probably the best house so far,
it combined everything what we were looking for!

Oh, my, what a wonderful place, but I would never go back until the sanitation system is upgraded. For this money, the smell of untreated sewage shouldn't be a problem. The stench, especially upstairs, was so bad my wife couldn't sleep there. The maintenance man tried to convince me I was just smelling fumes from the water heater....no, no , no no. I eventually diagnosed it and a workaround myself. The horrible smell was coming up through the drains in the shower! The smell was 95% diminished by covering these with the white rubber discs on the floor of the shower...hmmm, maybe this has happened before and nobody bothered to tell me about it. This workaround made the house tolerable, but back by the casita is where the grey water comes up, and it smelled of sewage. A rubber disc ain't gonna fix that. (The casita itself did not have any odors.) This problem is really a shame because I otherwise loved the property.
A 2nd problem is that these homes are on a very narrow lot, and the next villa is therefore *really* close. Unfortunately for us, for three days there was a family next door with small children who shrieked and hollered unceasingly until past midnight. Most people aren't so inconsiderate of others, but bring your earplugs in the event you get unlucky. The problem is exacerbated by one's windows being constantly open so the noise intrudes prominently. Imagine vacationing 30 feet from a playground.
I had a great time *despite* these issues, but if you're going to drop $$$$ you probably want better.
Oh, and the internet didn't work. Couldn't be repaired. They were kind enough to lend us a data card, which took a couple of hours of thrashing to get up and running, and then only one person at a time can use it. Once again, if I was paying $ for accommodations, I'd shrug it off, but paying $$$$ and it says "Wi-Fi", I expect Wi-fi to be available.
Sorry, Casa Bella, you were Casa Smella.

This was our families first time vacationing in a non-all inclusive....It was a good experience overall since we spent it with good friends. The property itself is as pictured however, much smaller and older in reality. The grounds could be better kept and they are not as "lush" as described but clean. The pool is very small and was most often dirty (becasue of high winds) but was used very little by us. The main villa was not as clean as expected with an ant problem. The casita which our family of 4 stayed was spacious, clean but lacked of kitchen supplies and we had to take from main villa each time we needed something (utensils, bowls, pots, coffee cups). Anna & Ivan were good when we saw them. We were usually gone or heading out. There was a problem with clean towels and we had to use the same towel more than 2-3 days in a row....I think that could have just been poor communication on our part but expect clean for sure after 1 day....The golf carts came in handy for the trek to the beach (we rented a second)although our first one was not there when we arrived (which is included in rental) and had to go and get it. The weather was not Mexico's best that week which made snorkelling in the lagoon a little less than exciting (one of the reason's we rented there) but Akumal beach made up for that!Def one of the best beaches we have visited.

We've stayed at this villa in the past and have always had a great time. Anna the housekeeper is so kind, she showed us pictures she took with us more that 8 years ago. The house is located on the most beautiful lagoon. Can't recommend it enough and can't wait to return.

The views from this house are amazing. The property was very well kept. The snorkeling was great with lots of coral and fish to look at as well as a few turtles. You felt secluded with it being so peaceful and relaxing you just dont ever want to leave.

We can't say enough about the time we spent at Casa Bella. From the time we were picked up at the airport without a hitch, to the time we left for home, we were delighted with every aspect of our trip. The house itself is amazing. The views out every window and deck are unbeatable. The location was perfect for snorkeling everyday in the lagoon or a short golf cart trip down to the halfmoon bay or Aukmal bay. Each with it's own unique attraction. The best part may have been meeting Anna and Ivan who took care of the house and us as well. Anna cooked a wonderful meal for my birthday and Ivan cut down and opened coconuts for the kids to try. The management was wonderful, We didn't have to worry about a thing. I would love to go back.

Loved the location of the house in the lagoon. Felt very safe with security gard there. Nice housekeeper everyday. Beds were hard , the guest house was infested with mold and we had to move people into the main house because they were getting sick and the smell was bad. The main house was great and had great balconies to be outside. The house comes with a golf cart, but we had to go pick it up (2 miles away) and put down deposit. LocoGringo was super great to work with, i have used them twice now and will definitely use their service again.

Great experience. I have been to Akumal a few times but had not stayed in Casa Bella. The other five in our group had never been to the area. They all loved it from day one and are talking about how and when they'll be making a return trip.

We really enjoyed Casa Bella on Yal Ku Lagoon. Very clean and comfortable. The water entry landing is the best one for the three houses that are near there so others used it also. Plumbing was better than some of the properties in Akumal that we have been in. The only problem was there was no key in the lock box but someone did respond to a phone call.
I have been going to Akumal for almost 30 years and this is the first time I have stayed in a casa. Casa Bella was very nice. Anna kept the house clean and cooked two delicious dinners for us at a very reasonable price. Ivan kept the property maintained and evan scrubbed the moss off the steps going into the water. It was nice to be able to swim in the lagoon before and after hours. Wonderful snorkeling right in front of the casa. The golf cart and two bicycles were a great added bonus. The only reason for 4 stars for location is that the water can be a little rough in front of the casa, but it gets calmer the deeper you get into the lagoon.
