Zulum hotel is where a Robinson Crusoe beach lifestyle meets a tropical Mayan paradise. Boasting an excellent location on Tulum’s fine sands, Zulum hotel consists of back-to-nature, eco rustic bungalows, crafted entirely of local wood. The thatched roof, beds, suspended by ropes, that seem to float in the air, and conch shell shower heads are just a few unique details that you will find here.
If you want to escape the demanding pace of modern life there is no better place to do it than in Tulum. Here, the coconut palm trees grow right on the white sand, the waters are surreally azure and the beach goes on for miles in either direction.
Imagine what it would be like to wake up to amazing views of the Caribbean, drink your cocktail under a beach palapa or fall asleep to the sounds of waves lapping against the shore. You can do it all at Zulum hotel!
The Zulum’s room suites are spacious, rustic and located in two and three story buildings, either facing the beach, the charming pool area or the jungle. All suites come with a private bathroom and ocean-view rooms also have a private terrace facing the unspoilt Tulum beach. (Please find more details on rooms and bedding summary in the Amenities section).
Following the eco-friendly, and disconnected beach-living mindset of Tulum, the Zulum suites are cooled by fans and sea breezes, not by a/c, mesmerizing views of nature substitute the TV, and face-to-face encounters by the pool replace social network chats.
This, however, doesn’t mean that you should forgo on relaxation and pampering. Zulum hotel’s many services include a private beach club, a great restaurant and beach bar and a lovely swimming pool, towering atop the edge of the primary dune. There are also numerous areas throughout the property, designed for you to relax in and enjoy blissful moments of peace and quiet.
In addition to one of the best locations on Tulum beach and great services, Zulum hotel also offers its guests tours to archaeological sites, massages on the beach, bike and car rental, snorkeling equipment rental and much more.
If you are looking for a private paradise to get away from it all, relax and spend some quality time with your loved one, then Zulum hotel might be the ideal place for you to stay!

We were really looking for something quaint and with 18 rooms less than half full in April we found what we were looking for. I liked the location of the hotel, the entire beach front of Tulum is bike-able so we rented bikes and cruised around to the ruins, other beaches and even the bio reserve. There is plenty of shoulder room and even a path to go into Tulum pueblo. FYI it is common to see topless woman as it is excepted to be nude on Tulum beach. Though dinner is offered, it is not very lively and we often felt like going out at night to somewhere with music. The mosquitos are terrible at night and often find there way through the mosquito net covering the bed. Bring mosquito spray, it will be worth it's weight in gold! All of Tulum is eco so no ac in MOST of the hotels which I knew when I made the reservation. However I sure wish there was a fan. We stayed in room 18 on the third floor and received no wind to cool off at night, it was stifling warm, we often slept with the door open.
