Owned by a Venetian family, Jashita Hotel and its famous Sahara Café reflects a tasteful, contemporary, modern design with authentic Italian hospitality and mouth-watering Mediterranean cuisine.
Families traveling with children will love the Superior Double Deluxe Suites, while those looking for a perfect romantic getaway will be blown away by the elegance of the thatched roof Honeymoon suites – ‘Cleopatra’ and ‘Nefertiti’.

The Jashita Hotel is gorgeous and is in a spectacular location. It is small and feels very intimate, a great place for couples or friends trying to get away. There were some small children when we were there, not too annoying but the open atmosphere and cool breezes makes crying easily heard. It is very relaxing, no party atmosphere as the bar closes at 11 but the desire to party isn't there. I would have given this property an overall five star, but I can't justify doing so with the quality of the food. For being such an amazing hotel, one would think the food would compliment the feel. However, it does not. It is a limited menu, which could be good in some instances, but it is mostly pasta and has a Mediterranean influence, which we wouldn't have minded if there was regional or authentic Mexican food included. There were four Mexican dishes on the entire menu and one Yucatan dish that wasn't very good. Our first night we ordered a steak and it came out perfectly round, (as if a circular cookie cutter had cut it out) it was grey and the meat fell apart into wet chunks upon the first cut; almost into particles. It tasted awful and we wondered if it was steak at all. A couple we met had the same experience. We spent 11 nights at Jashita and I would have stayed longer if it weren't for the food. The hotel is fantastic, the service is outstanding and incredibly kind and helpful, the views are wonderful and the reef is gorgeous for snorkeling. If the food had been better I would have reserved my space for next year upon checkout.
