If you are looking to get away from civilization and share a wild, romantic adventure with your loved one – Azulik Resort is your place.
Breaking every stereotype of noisy and touristy all-inclusive beach resorts, Azulik offers you a primal experience of sun, sand, and the sea. It is a secluded, low-key, and very private, adults-only slice of Caribbean heaven, which consists of 15 beach bungalows.
Nested between the ancient Tulum ruins and the unspoilt Sian Ka’an Reserve, Azulik resort boasts silky sands, lush tropical vegetation, and ever-warm crystalline waters of the Caribbean.
It is a place to get away from it all and rest your mind, body, and soul. No telephones, no electricity, no TV, no noisy bars next door, no dress code… no worries.
Instead of a standard hotel room with a standard hotel smell, at Azulik, you get your own private thatched roof bungalow made from rough-hewn log frames and a sequence of floor to ceiling windows, draped with thick bamboo blinds.
Essentially, each bungalow is very similar, designed as one large living space, featuring an elegant king-size bed, a white lounge bed suspended by ropes, a Zapote log bathtub, a private bathroom, original rustic furnishings, and a large electronic safe, which can fit two 15’’ laptops. The sea breezes and ceiling fans (operating from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.) help to keep the room cool throughout the day.
But the highlight of each bungalow is, without a doubt, a large private deck. Furnished with a new hanging bed, hammocks, outdoor furniture, and a unique log-tub, it is the ideal spot to savor a candlelit dinner or soak in the hot tub while gazing up at the stars.
The Romance Bungalow (#1) features a somewhat larger deck, upgraded bathroom amenities, and Internet connection (for those who can’t part with the idea of not being able to browse the world wide web).
The Honeymoon Bungalow (#12) offers the most privacy as it is the last one in the row and has no neighbors on one side.
The 3 Beach Bungalows (#13, 14, 15) are set further back into the jungle, yet they still have a wide view of the sea and easy access from the deck directly to the sandy beach.
Just imagine what it would be like to wake up to the sound of birds singing and head directly to the beach. Snorkel out on Tulum’s coral reef or visit Tulum ruins. Enjoy your margaritas on the deck, share a romantic dinner under the stars, and make love to the murmur of waves caressing the shore.
Azulik Resort is not for those who expect 5-star hotel luxury and comfort. It’s a rough jewel, on one of the most beautiful beaches of Riviera Maya that is more suited for people who seek privacy, romance, and a Robinson Crusoe-type vacation!
If you are one of these adventure-seekers, make sure you book your bungalow ASAP! With just 15 of them at Azulik Beach Resort, they get booked quickly!
We represent so many small, quaint facilities, privately-owned homes and we coordinate availability with local people. Add Azulik to your inquiry, we will get back with you, confirm availability and of course, answer any question you might have!

I am generally impressed by loco gringo - you need to go back and visit - this resort is not up to your standards. They have not been affiliated with Copal for over a year - they are part of Zara now; staff nice enough but they seem, like they have given up - like they have no pride in the place and know that they are a rip-off and are embarrassed. Probably the biggest issue that no one seems to note is that there are no screens on the windows or doors which means you either leave them open and hope no one or no thing comes in over night or close them and choke to death once the fans go off when the electricuty ends at 11 p.m. very disappointing particularly when I saw so much available that was so much nicer at such a better price -- oh well....
