In the heart of Akumal lies Casa French Angel -an attractive villa with its rustic ambiance and shy beauty.
The building itself resembles the wings of an angel, as this elegant villa consists of two 2-story, 2-bedroom townhouses, surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing atmosphere of Yal Ku lagoon.
Depending on the number of people you are travelling with and on your needs, you can rent one side of the building for maximum of 6 people, or opt for the entire villa that sleeps a group of 12 people comfortably.
Both the villa’s size and its location makes it ideal for 2 families travelling together or special events such as weddings, birthday celebrations, anniversaries and bachelor parties.
As I’ve mentioned Casa French Angel consist of two townhouses. On the ground floor of each townhouse is an airy living room, cozy dining room, spacious kitchen, a powder room and a laundry area (definitely an amenity that every family travelling with kids will appreciate). With the fully furnished kitchen, you can prepare your own meals or try making tropical cocktails. But if you don’t feel like cooking while on vacation, you can have a relaxing dinner at one of the neighboring restaurants or you can also request for a special meal to be prepared for you by the Casa French Angel kitchen staff.
On the upper level of Casa French Angel you will find one bedroom that has two double beds and another room with a king size bed. Each bedroom comes with a private bathroom and large windows overlooking the mystic lagoon.
But that’s not all…
Just take the stairs up to the roof deck and enjoy the breath-taking view of the Caribbean ocean, the mystical lagoon, or the stars right above your heated rooftop pool.
This is what the French call “Joie de Vivre!”
Being a guest at Casa French Angel gives you exclusive access to one of the best snorkeling spots in the Caribbean – and it’s just minutes from your own patio!
Get ready with your scuba diving gear and be prepared for an amazing experience of swimming with colorful tropical fish and other exotic marina animals in the Yal Ku Lagoon.
The great thing is that this part of lagoon does not have waves, which makes it ideal for both children and adults, who have dreamed about this relaxing kind of fun in the water.
Just a short drive from Casa French Angel and you find yourself among expansive golf courses and mystical Maya Ruins.
Bottom line is: you will not find another place like Casa French Angel anywhere in Akumal. But this hidden getaway won’t be a secret forever. So hurry to add this property to your inquiry!

The place is nice enough, but make sure they are not having a wedding on the property or the owners are having a massive party before you book, which both happened to us, and it was very intrusive until the wee hours of the morning. We came to relax and have quiet time, and we got one big party. The condo itself is very nice, the access to the lagoon is wonderful, the view is outstanding. This unit is right on the entrance to Yalku and a cafe for the lagoon is actually conntected to your building. It gets very noisy until dusk when the tourists leave. If you can tolerate noise, then it's ok...

The Romero Complex was a fabulous place to stay-stunning setting with direct access to the Lagoon, right out our back door. The house we stayed in was beautiful and the staff addressed all our needs--very personal care. We will definitely go back here.

We rented both French Angel condos and found it ideal for our family--snorkeling in the lagoon was easy and it was a short walk to the beach. Rooftop deck and pools were an added pleasure.

We love the swimming and snorkeling on the Riviera Maya generally and YalKu lagon specifically. Taking up residence on the lagoon for the week with post-dawn and pre-sundown swims was great. Access to both Akumal Bay and Half Moon Bay (especially the latter) added to the experience. The town home was well-equipped but there was neither a CD player nor available bicycles as described (the bikes would have been very nice providing easier access to Akumal--it is a pretty good walk and parking is limited.)
We rented both sides A and B of French Angel for a week, and I'd recommend that rather than just one side. The tiny rooftop pools were great for the little grandchildren, and adults could sit in the shade and enjoy the view. Having the Yal Ku lagoon in backyard for easy snorkeling was good, and we snorkeled there every day. The condos were well equipped and very comfortable.

Wonderful property near Yalku lagoon (snorkel from your back yard!). Fit our family of four nicely and the staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
