When you first see this warm and crisp peach-colored home surrounded by an emerald-green garden and ever-blue skies, it will instantly make you feel peachy keen. While a thatched palapa will remind you that the white-sand North Akumal beach and the turquoise waters of Half Moon Bay are just a short walk away.
The layout of Akumal Escape is strategically divided between 2 separate condos. It makes this home a great vacation choice for one or two couples, who are looking for something more comfortable, cozy and private than a hotel room.
Each condominium is located on the main floor and features an inviting living space, a dining table, a private kitchen, a comfortable king-sized bed and a full bathroom. Actually, Unit #2 has two bathrooms instead of one, so there will be no discussions about who is taking the shower first.
Also to give you the opportunity to stay in touch with civilization and enjoy the commodities of a modern house, there is WiFi Internet, TV, MP3 player and a DVD player with a collection of DVD’s.
The large sliding doors open each condo onto the tropical garden patio. The garden palapa provides shade and is a great place to relax with a book or enjoy your morning coffee. On the right side of the Akumal Escape you will also find more seating and a charcoal grill. Now you will have no excuse not to organize an outdoor cookout and pamper yourself with a prime steak, freshly-caught fish and buttery shrimps.
What’s more, just a short stroll away you will find Half Moon Bay and Yal Ku Lagoon, ideal for snorkeling with sea turtles and colorful tropical fish. There are also two restaurants on the bay: cozy La Lunita and the famous La Buena Vida Restaurant and Bar. Both restaurants have excellent food and amazing views of the Caribbean. For convenience stores, gift shops and more dining options take a 5-minute ride to North and Central Akumal.
It does not matter whether you spend a day at the beach, go shopping or tour the culture-rich Mayan archaeological sites, it will always feel great to come back to your little hideaway at Akumal Escape!
