What we love about the Riviera Maya is the host of different cities and villages where you can do just this. Eat, beach, Sleep, Repeat. No matter which beach you choose, (and there are many to choose from) no matter where you eat, and no matter which type of accommodations you choose to sleep in (hotel, condo or villa) you are sure to be rested after this beautiful and necessary vacation ritual.
If you have not experienced this small seaside village, you just may want to check it out! Think wide beaches, great little hotels, ocean front condos, or vacation townhomes. As small as this little village is, you have over 42 restaurants to choose from during your stay. Dine on the beach or overlooking the town square. If you want to be a true local, venture across the highway and eat with the locals. Nice part is, you will be lulled to sleep with the sound of the sea breeze as this little town shuts down early.
Sleep – Casa Colibri
Eat – La Sirena
Beach – Hang at My Paradise Beach Club during the day
This little haven is truly a paradise and designed for the EBSR vacation ritual. We love this portion of the Riviera Maya as you have little choice but to enjoy the sea breeze, the beach and great food.
Sleep – Kin Sol Soleil Hotel and Villas
Eat – Pavo Real Restaurant
Beach – Maroma Beach
This is the beach town so many people love to EBSR (Eat, Beach, Sleep, Repeat). The cosmopolitan vibe makes you feel pampered during your stay, and the EBSR ritual can fit any budget. In Playa you will want to take advantage of 5th Avenue, where restaurants, cafes and stores are found on a 4km pedestrian only street. It is here that you can find an eclectic choice of food, cocktails and shopping. On the beach there is also 4 kms of beach clubs that you can choose from.
Sleep – El Taj Ocean Front Condos
Eat – Cueva de Chango
Beach – Lido Beach Club or Indigo Beach Club
If you missed Maroma Beach be sure not to miss Xpu Ha Beach. This is again a secluded beach in the Riviera Maya that has some of the most beautiful sea views and beaches on the coast. If you are looking to be pampered with butler services, the sound of the waves and early evenings, this is the place to be.
Sleep – Villa Bel Ha
Eat – Al Cielo Restaurant (use your butler service to have your meal in house)
Beach – Xpu Ha Beach
Our home town is our personal favorite place. If you are looking for a laid back community perfect for EBSR, Akumal could be your place. With over 30 restaurants to choose from you will not go hungry! This is a small but fun village that will have you well rested at the end of your vacation. Check out the snorkeling in the Bay and see Akumal turtles living in their natural habitat.
Beach – Half Moon Bay
This popular and trending beach city is more than perfect for your EBSR ritual. So many people are there to do exactly this, so you will not be alone. What we love about Tulum beach is that you feel you have the beach all to yourself. Beaches are wide and run over 12 kms so you feel you the beach belongs to you and you only.
Sleep –Posada Punta Piedra
Beach – Paradiso Beach Club, Ana and Jose Beach Club – or where ever your beach towel lands.
Where is your favorite place to EBSR in the Riviera Maya? This is the perfect location to take a deep breath in, dig your toes in the sand and just say – Ahhhh.
