Cabanas Tulum was first established in 1972 on a large stretch of beautiful beach, surrounded by coconut palms and the turquoise sea. It's the perfect place to relax and reunite with nature. Hotel La Tortuga from Playa del Carmen is rejuvenating this Tulum landmark hotel.
Sixteen newly updated rooms are bright and tropical. Eight are beach front, and another eight are ocean view. The beach front rooms have king or queen size beds, and the ocean view rooms each have two double beds. Electricity, and hot and cold water are available 24 hours a day. Each room has a hammock, small terrace and private bath. All rooms have nighttime air conditioning from 8pm to 8am.
To guarantee complete relaxation, hammocks are provided to guests so you can hang out on a large spacious beach and enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean. The staff on site is there to assist you and ensure a pleasurable stay for all. For those who arrive in a rental car there is free private parking by the entrance. Á la carte breakfast at restaurant El Bistro is included with your stay.
The reception desk has Wifi available, and is manned during the day should you need anything at all.
The Ziggy Beach Club is on-site and open from 7am to sunset, offering sun beds, umbrellas and lounge chairs. Beach club service is available. Relax and have a drink at the Bar or grab a bite at El Bistro, open daily from 7am to 11pm, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.
This is the beginnings of a long term plan to turn the hotel into a model for Tulum beach. Hotel La Tortuga is striving to make the facility eco-friendly and modern, without losing the charm of its classic Mexican Caribbean style. In time Cabanas Tulum will incorporate some of the newest eco-friendly technologies in order to be as green as possible.
