Here the wind and waves of the Caribbean have deposited large amounts of powdered limestone on the scalloped coastline, creating wide beaches that stay cool under foot no matter how intense the sun gets. This is a sun worshipper's paradise, right on the turquoise Caribbean and away from the tourist crowds. All the beach hotels in this area must generate their own electrical power, usually by solar panels, wind turbine, or by generator.
Rooms, pool and restaurant Ana y Jose's is one of the best hotels on the beach offering travelers clean, colorful, air conditioned rooms, a refreshing swimming pool, an excellent restaurant and all the ambiance of the Caribbean. The restaurant is a perfect gathering place and serves delicious seafood (especially lobster) and has a nice bar. The accommodations are either first or second floor rooms, with or without a view of the ocean and pool. There are 14 rooms and one suite to choose from. Any of their rooms would be just steps from the beach and surf. All are very nice and have a private bathroom, ceiling fan, hot water, towels, linens, and maid service. There are no telephones or TV.
Great location This is a place to get away from it all and enjoy the sun, surf and sand, just a few minutes south of the Mayan ruins of Tulum. The natural surroundings create an atmosphere of peaceful tranquility with cenote swimming holes nearby and the pristine Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve just a bit further down the Boca Paila/ Punta Allen coconut road. Headed out to the highway you will find the Tulum pueblo roughly 10 minutes away from the hotel for plenty of shopping and restaurants.
