The Robinson Crusoe Sunset Cruise
Gonzalo Arcila, owner of the Akumal Dive Shop, graciously invited a group of us to go out sailing from Akumal Bay this past Sunday on the 36 ft. catamaran Kantaris. It was a perfect day, good wind for sailing, rods and reels on hand for fishing and topped of by a nice sunset. Tours like this are available from the Akumal Dive Shop. There's nothing better than getting out on the Caribbean when conditions are good, and they were perfect for our trip.

We had the perfect afternoon to sail, eat fresh ceviche, drink cold beer and sip some wine.
Only from the sea can you really look back and see that the coast is not as developed as you might think,
looking at ribbons of green palms that fringe the shore and dancing on deck, the salt air makes you feel
like you are living out a Jimmy Buffet song. You can make reservations for your own
