Villa Cenote del Mar is one of few villas on the coast that has attained this level of quality. The finest materials have been used in it's construction; granite and stainless in the kitchen, beautiful marble floors everywhere, hardwood furnishings and plenty of custom touches. And this location on Tankah Bay beach is superb, really one of the best on the bay, with a nice sandy beach, plenty of coconut palms and good protection from the waves for your kayaking and snorkeling fun.
The entrance side of the villa is behind a privacy wall that encircles a lovely private garden and the secure off-street parking. As you face the villa's front door the guest house is on your right which has two of the extra bedrooms for the house.
Just inside the main villa the entrance foyer has a lounge area, then opens to the wide Great Room, with the living room to the left and the kitchen and dining room to the right. Large glass sliders across the east wall open to a gorgeous pool and sandy Tankah beach. The kitchen is a gourmet's delight with commercial 6-burner stove, double stainless refrigerator, long granite counter tops, a breakfast peninsula and all the kitchen accessories you or the chef might need. The dining room is just off the kitchen for convenience, and it faces the glass sliders as does the living room on the other side of the Great Room.
There are six bedroom suites in the main villa. One on the lower level off the living room, four on the upper level and one rooftop bedroom suite. All face the ocean except one which faces the jungle. Each has a king bed, fine furnishings, plenty of storage, hardwood cabinetry and a private en-suite bathroom. Two of the bathrooms also have tubs. On the lower level the ocean side bedroom has a slider to a shade patio facing the pool and beach. Upper level bedrooms all have sliders to ocean side furnished terraces. The rooftop bedroom suite has an incredible 360° panoramic view of the bay and jungle, and a huge lounge area.
On the beach and by the pool is where you will be spending a lot of your time. Both areas are set up for your enjoyment with plenty of seating, lounge chairs, sofas, hammocks, a shade palapa and more. A full list is in the Amenities section below.
The Villa Cenote guest house is right next to the main villa and consists of one lower and one upper level bedroom suite. Each has a king bed and double bed, patio or balcony, private bathroom and kitchenette area with wet sink, and there is a private walkway to the pool and beach.
Also on Tankah Bay and nearby. On the bay are two restaurants and Manatee cenote, the namesake for the villa. Manatee cenote is a great place to swim, snorkel or even rent a kayak and explore a bit. 10 minutes south are the Tulum ruins and Tulum's famous beaches. 20 minutes north is Akumal. This Tankah location is perfect for exploring the best of the Riviera Maya, beaches, Mayan ruins, Nature/ adventure parks and beach side towns.
