Casa Cavu has a great beach location with plenty of sand and a wide view out on greater Tankah Bay. Cavu is a good house for sun lovers with plenty of full sun, and a shady pavilion outside making it easy to enjoy the view and sea breeze.
Inside the front door guests are welcome by a sea view over the main living space. To the left is the living room with a built-in "L" shaped couch. Windows and a glass slider open to the pool, pool deck, and beach. To the right is a dining table that seats 8, and a fully equipped kitchen with raised breakfast counter and bar stool seating.
Three bedrooms are all individually air conditioned. On beach level there are two bedrooms, both with an ocean view. One has a king bed and slider to the main pool deck. The other has a queen bed and single bed, and opens to a private beach patio. These two bedrooms share a bathroom. The upper level master bedroom has a dramatic sea view from a private ocean view terrace, private bathroom and king size bed. The terrace extends the width of the house for great sea views and sunset views over the green mangrove estuary.
Outside on the beach side you will find plenty of chaise lounges for use around the pool or out on the sand. On beach level there is a shady terrace that runs the length of the house and a smooth limestone deck around the pool. Two hammocks are strung on either side of the pool deck, and a table and chairs are out on the sand under a shade pavilion.
Tankah Bay has good snorkeling and excellent kayaking within the shelter of the outer reef. A couple minutes up the street are Casa Cenote and Blue Sky restaurants, plus nearby Tankah Inn restaurant and dive shop. On the highway, Tulum is 15 minutes south and Akumal 15 minutes north for more sight seeing, restaurants, and of course the Tulum ruins.
