Nestled among the palms and lush tropical foliage of the primary dune, casa Nah Alux is a cool tropical beach getaway. This is another wonderful Soliman Bay style beach multi-house with a "bovida" brick dome, thatch roof, lots of rich mahogany, native hardwoods, Mexican tile, and sand from the house right out to the surf line.
Nah Alux is actually three houses in a "L" shape configuration. One is yellow, one blue and the third one pink (the Rosita Casita). They are always rented together. The yellow one houses the kitchen, dining area and ocean side patio (it also has a small jungle side elevated deck). The blue house has two bedrooms, one on each level, each with a king size bed, private bathroom and bathroom with shower (one has a tub too). The ground floor bedroom has Satellite TV and a tiled furnished patio facing the greenery and sea. The second floor bedroom has a DVD Player, VHS TV system and a furnished hardwood terrace on its ocean side above the patio. There is also an Internet connection if you bring your laptop. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans, an armoire for your traveling clothes and accessories, and a couple lamps and night stands. The third bedroom is in the Rosita Casita and has a king size bed and private bathroom with shower.
Soliman Bay has great snorkeling and kayaking within the protected confines of the reef break. This is a big bay! Three kayaks are included for your use. One is a tandem and will seat two people. Snorkeling the coral heads you can see a variety of coral and tropical fish. It's also not unusual to see rays and turtles. Soliman Bay beach is a turtle nesting beach from May through early July. Once you've had enough surf and sun you can still enjoy the view from a hammock under the shade palapa on the beach in front. For sunbathing there are also a couple of lounges, wooden sling back chairs and a small folding table.
