Inside Casa Caracol the house opens with the living room to the right, and the kitchen and formal dining room to the left. The living room has a glass slider to the beach, and a couple of rattan sofas with matching tables and chair. The decor is colorful and tropical, with a high ceiling overhead and an interior balcony that looks down on the living room. Ocean side windows and the glass slider provide plenty of light in the living room. On the other side of the room are the kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with the major appliances plus a microwave, toaster, blender and coffee maker. A breakfast bar peninsula separates the kitchen from the formal dining room and both have an ocean view through the dining room window. The dining table seats six at a beautiful oval mahogany table.

There are five bedrooms in Casa Caracol, two on the lower level and three on the upper level. All are air conditioned. Downstairs, one bedroom is on the ocean side of the house just off the living room, and has a queen bed and private bathroom. The other bedroom is on the garden side of the house with two single beds and a bathroom between it and the kitchen. Upstairs, the upper level landing is a balcony that overlooks the living room. Directly across are the ocean terrace windows. There are two ocean side bedrooms and one on the garden side. One ocean side bedroom has a queen bed and the other, a queen and a single bed. The garden bedroom has a king size bed. The ocean side terrace has a great sea view and is furnished with a table, chairs and a couple hammocks under the shade arbor. There are two doors to the ocean terrace, one from the queen bedroom and one from the second floor landing.

Out on the beach are several chaise lounges under the thatched shade umbrella and a couple by the tiled patio off the living room. There is a double kayak provided for cruising the bay. Tankah Bay is a gem for kayaking and snorkeling when the water is calm. Just north are two restaurants, Casa Cenote and Blue Sky. By the two restaurants is Manatee Cenote, a freshwater waterway through the mangrove that attracts all manner of fish, birds and snorkel clad onlookers.
